Because a lot of us have seen it before. Its very very good and the only person I've ever seen try to counter it properly is HerO a lot of storm drops so that eventually the zerg does get starved out and they can't just make spinecrawlers.

The other thing is its so so so strong O.O So scary.

Yeah, other Zergs have done this before in ZvP. Seal has done it a few times in Code A.

But first time I've seen a Zerg actually push his spine forest into his opponent's base.

How was that not an impressive game? Yea their Macro's slipped at some points but meh thats gonna happen with a game you haven't played that much. ZerO showed a geat understanding of lategame ZvP and had his BL's spread always + Sick spinecrawler late game push. Stork showed some decent phoenix control being very active and finding holes for damage even with lots of queens and spores.

Of course this isn't going to be Code S level play. If you're expecting that right away then your just crazy, I personally found the game very entertaining and was impressed by both players. More so then any of the other BW pro's playing Sc2 so far!

There was a ZvP in the up/down matches which involved continuous speed warp prism production (probably 10 total over the course of the game) and constant protoss army movement with defensive recalls to save the units. The zerg never had the bank to make 90 spinecrawlers, like zero did, and could never really hold onto a 5th base.

zvp needs more stuff like that!
and these dudes with their fabled reaction times and multitasking should be leading the charge!

Reaction times and multi tasking mean nothing if you don't know the game.... Give them sometime(Escpially since they are practicing two games at once right now..) to learn the basics of the game, the meta game etc. then you will start to see them be bale to use their skills to the fullest.

Right now they are trying to grasp the basics, learn the builds and crap.

People have been doing the gum up the middle of the map with spines while getting broods out maneuver on certain maps for...months? Or something like that. Not this crazily, and not usually offensively, but still.

And if Stork had started warp prism harass like...before he lost his army he could have abused Zero's immobility to death, right? Right?

I feel like not enough attention was given to ZerO's good transfusing too. He had a bunch of queens keeping his broodlords from falling.

Early game, maybe. Late game, there were a decent number of warp prism harass.

Those 2 infestors at the front of the spines were a nice bait, hopefully more of these tactics come about to encourage Protosses to split sections of their armies to snipe stuff like Terran.

i agree, they are just learning they may have the reaction skills, but they probably dont know what the correct decision to make. Tho soon they will then u watch out

Because he spent 9000 minerals on spinecrawlers and then four of his bases mined out, and then DTs killed two of his remaining three mining bases.

I've seen mass spines used for defense or splitting the map in half. But I haven't seen some one late game push with a mass of spines before O.o it's very possible It's happened often and I've missed it, haven't been able to catch a lot of games recent;y but def a first for me to see!
