He could've just left them in his base for extra safety. Disagree. It was more of a spur of the moment move as his Immortals were already in that area. And it also allowed him to keep track of where the Stalkers were and put him in the initiative so that Oz couldn't do as he pleased (blink on top of immortals, preventing them from microing). By zoning them out there, he gave the immortals space to micro and did a lot more than just leaving them at base.

Being able to defend rushes is a skill too, one that foreigners typically sorely lack since they have some mental block where they refuse to cheese each other and as a result never get practice against it. it's also stupid too cause without early aggression players would just get 4 nexuses first and macro up to 200/200 and get a deathball... the only reason we get any dynamic games is because of aggression, you attack when your opponent is weakest

Crisis management is a huge part of being a good player. Naniwa has a greedy play style and got punished for it as he has many times in the past..gateway on 15? thats just needless risk , he cuts too many corners in his builds to try get ahead.

I love creativity, but it's like he goes into it with confidence but just doesnt work against top PvP's. Is it a practise partner problem?

Its an all in not a cheese imo. Pretty sure most top-level protoss would have held that easily after scouting. Naniwa just got flustered and muffed it.

He's still the most accomplished sc2 player to date, and have been in code S for a very long time. Even last season he was only 1 game away from making into round of 8. And a season before that in round of 4 He probably been in round of 4 or higher more than he has not Because we have eyes, and this is not the MVP we were used to. Call it carpal tunnel, call it PvT era or w/e. Everything not a 3-0 or 3-1 for parting will be a big surprise for me.

Actually leaving the immortals at base was the "best" decision as it slows down any possibility of a base trade.

I dont think MC gets that much hate for them though? Like i see people posting on a daily basis "Naniwa doesn't know how to play macro games, he just goes for 2-base all in bla bla". MC has a lot more respect in the community. w/e man, It's just sad that he gets that much hate. "/

Being able to defend rushes is a skill too, one that foreigners typically sorely lack since they have some mental block where they refuse to cheese each other and as a result never get practice against it. if you can stop a cheese, you either win or the game moves on to the macro phase - and stopping cheese is generally easier to learn than "learn how to play a solid macro game", therefore cheese almost always is a risky and desperate move taken by a lesser player. on the other hand, if you are better at playing macro games, this is, as i mentioned very hard for the opponent in a easy way "counter" or practice against. by perfecting a cheese you get a small weapon that works a few times, but by getting good macro you could argue that you are the better player.
