Are you really bringing something up from a completely different metagame from like half a year ago? now protoss is more favored than half a year ago in PvT

If MVP can play this well with his wrists, how good will he be in perfect condition?
Dam, Hopes he has a fairtytale run this season. After just barely making it through in the Ro32 and RO16, he rides the momentum and wins.

In general I'd say yeah, of course MVP should be the favorite, and if he destroys Nani it won't really be a surprise. But Naniwa has looked damn solid this season, whereas MVP has been a bit shaky, and PvT at the moment isn't exactly a terrible matchup for protoss, so I think it could go either way. It depends on their preparation and how they actually play that day -- Naniwa in form against an MVP that isn't 100%? Yeah, Naniwa could take that. If they both play their absolute best, I'd have to imagine MVP takes it, because at his peak he just looks like a monster.
That's kind of the fun part of watching any kind of sport or competition, though -- won't really know what happens til you see the game :-)

Either you're a terran which never had any real balance problems (are fine now) or a toss. And if you're a toss have you even noticed the "Sad Zealot fan club" yeah. When no protoss got into the r8 it was a lot of butthurt tosses. Just accept that the race need buffs (just like toss needed when there were no in the r8)

I'm still overall happy with the results of who is moving on but IDK I've always found TvZ to be the most fun to watch. Everyone knows TvZ is the best and most enjoyable/entertaining match up =) It's been like this since BW.

Hate PvZ or not, Naniwa would surely much prefer Leenock ZvP over MVP TvP in my opinion. Out of interest though, I missed the MVP Hero games. How did MVP's TvP look? And how did Heros PvT look? Objectively (or with fact) how do people think they stack up in the next round? In his interview yesterday he said he would prefer PvT because he's not confident in his PvZ, so your opinion doesn't matter when we have Naniwa's opinion instead!
but also
+ Show Spoiler +You said that you find PvZ difficult. Which player worries you?
I am scared of DRG so it’s fortunate that he’s been eliminated early. If I have to face IMMVP on a map which favours him, it won’t be easy. Objectively though, there isn’t a player in Code S that really makes me afraid. Interview from yesterday

Yep. 2base all-in. Excellent playstyle. It's Dual sight, what did you expect ? Dual sight is actually easier for a terran to defend his 3rd than a zerg, coz PF, terran may wanna set up 3rd while pushing most of the time on this map. but mvp lost lots of scvs at natural which leave him no choice but to kinda all-in. Leenock flank attack did a little bit less than i thought which made him behind. No. so explain, please? It's just something all progamers and players that watch a lot of games on Dual Site say. If Terran goes fast third on Dual Sight, they lose. reference?

Mvp didn't look terrible but Hero was playing some of the best games of his life today.
It took Mvp 5 minutes of constant attacking 6 base to 3 base on Antiga to kill Hero, if that means anything.
I think his TvP is about the same as it always was, good enough to win most of the time but not guaranteed against great players.

trololol my prediction was right the season of terran and protoss continues!

MvP not at the top of his game and in his worst matchup against Naniwa who's on a roll in one of his better matchups. It isn't going to be a cakewalk for Nani but it's certainly a more even match.

IMMVP is on the war march to reclaim his title as the GOAT so far in SCII. Hopefully his wrists don't get to him to much

Oh well, I guess I will have more time to ladder now
Or, well, almost! Cause I'm of course gonna watch Naniwa! :D

I honestly hope one day we can see MVP at that level where his CTS is practically gone and he brings his very best games. I can only dare fathom the tasks he can do at 100%.

TvP probably MVP weakest matchup, though probably still stronger than most Terran

I can't wait to see MvP's TvP when he only has to practice it for the next couple of weeks. Great games tonight ( if we forget the zvz) gratz Hero /Mvp!!!

If MVP rush or proxy Naniwa he can win. If he let it go into mid game, Naniwa will crush MVP and make it look as easy as previously. That is how good Naniwa is at the moment.
