for 20$, free stream quality is not so nice to put it diplomatically.

Please have some respect for the players, teams, and tournament. Criticism is fine, criticism without anything to back it up isn't so cool. Thanks!

Had it up on my TV lastnight and it looked awesome. The sound is my biggest issue, it's like the NASL guy is there

A poster said in the previous thread that Western players need to step it up. I'm starting to think that's never going to happen. It's been 1.5 years, and the best the foreigner scene has produced is Stephano and while he's gotten to the level of Polt, he's not going to be able to get further since he's quitting this year because he can't see himself making enough money. Going forward, OGN getting into SC 2 is going to bring on a fiercer level of competition in Korea. After the next OSL in March, BW pros are going to see the writing on the wall and they're going to have to switch. When that happens, Korean SC 2 is going to become even better. In the foreigner's scene? Well, you can see the writing on the wall here, too. Teams are replacing their rosters with Koreans. Koreans are winning every tournament except those that a few special Westerners manage to win. Foreigners training in Korea aren't experiencing the success that people thought they would. The going is tough and getting tougher, and I don't see any hope of the foreigner's scene coming to its own.

In the foreigner's scene? Well, you can see the writing on the wall here, too. Teams are replacing their rosters with Koreans. Koreans are at the top of every tournament except those that a few special Westerners manage to win. Foreigners training in Korea aren't experiencing the success that people thought they would. The going is tough and getting tougher, and I don't see any hope of the foreigner's scene coming to its own. Koreans are better because they work hard and their overall level of training partners is higher. If you bring Koreans to western teams, you will have a better training and your level will eventually rise. Stephano is one of the foreign players that can win against any Korean. It doesn't mean he will always win, but he certainly has a shot even against the best of them. We saw ret winning against MVP. If foreign players bring consistency into their game so they can show their A-game without being thrown off all the time, they can also win and 'step it up'. Korea is ahead and they are better, yet I see hope. In Broodwar it was a complete massacre usually with a few wins here and there and you could most of the time actually even argue if the Korean dropped the game on purpose. Stephano is nearly 50% vs Polt who's a really strong player even among the Koreans. SaSe, Naniwa are all good and can take games off the Koreans. Ganzi won against MC, yet lost to SaSe just as one example. Sometimes one series doesn't mean as much. Obviously I generally agree, you often just don't see a big enough sample of games to make a clear statement. Most of the time its 1 bo3 , ofcourse spread over the tournament but against different players. If they would play 100 games straight , it might either look terrible or not so terrible at all, we can't say. We should need to wait and see. Btw: I don't think Stephano is going to quit, if he makes 700-1000$ / day with his stream.

When he was on LO3 he pretty much said he has to quit and focus everything on his studies.

Yeah, I think he just says he's going to quit to enhance his popularity. Dunno if 17k people would watch his stream if they didn't feel he was a "limited time offer". every time people ask him about it he always says "WELL I THINK I WILL PLAY A LITTLE LONGER, YES". he ain't goin nowhere

They're pretty much the same as guys like Sheth, Idra, Incontrol and Demuslim (NA based). USA might lack depth but their top players are basically the same as top EU players sans Stephano.
