How can you say that's a horrible game......
12 ultra drop? Stephano losing his lair, and then barely surviving again and again, AND the amazing fact he saved his fourth?
a 50 minute game? Sky terran?
Just because a game goes into a standstill doesn't mean its horrible... if anything that's really cool.

So many errors from Thorzain. Lost like 20+ ghosts just dicking around, instead of trying to nuke the tech or something.

Jesus fucking Christ that was PERFECT!!! Stephanoooooo!!!!!!

If this goes on like this they should be forced to play on Steppes of War

At the highest levels, thats what we saw with Leenoc vs ForGG...
It's not even a macro game. It's a crappy stalemate because of not well thought abilities like fungal. This is the kind of crap you wouldnt see in a hundred years on BW
no, the true reason it won't happen in BW because BW don't use fucking horrible maps like metal.
at least GSL is much smarter than other tournaments out there and took out the map already

It was Thorzain's to win this game earlier, after the rocky start (he lost his lair), Stephano had no other choice than defending & turtling and waiting for an error...and well, the error came.
|
I don't know how anyone thinks that was an epic game. That's just SC2 unit design. Can't move forward due to fungal for T, Z can't attack due to snipe. The only reason Stephano won is because he actually micro'd during the engagement, and didn't have an awful unit composition.

Lol great comment in chat

I agree the first 20min was amasing intence.
Yea there was a standstill at the 40min mark but thats the map we seen so many matches where that happend. Boxer vs Rain comes to mind.
Incredible good game

Dem french fanboys...
But gg by Stephano nonetheless, he managed to bend the spoon in the end.

He also got impatient at the wrong time. In late game he should just trade ghost/raven energy to kill infestors/broods.

One player losing a game to a close air doom drop (is anything more predictable?) then the guy throwing the game away because he refuses to attack for 40 minutes is not a great game.
Game quality is not measured by the in game clock.

i was so worries seeing those ghost trading for some broodlords and infestors with no gaz income from stephano
i don't get why he didn't made much more many zerglings runby, if it doesn't destroy prod, it would have moved thorzain army

Terran painfully slow missiles... The fact that it can't be shot down is really powerful though and I suspect it'll become very important in these sort of situations as the game evolves because it can force clumps to move out of the way and allow terran to position better. There's a lot of stuff that terran can do late game that's not necessarily going to cause damage but put them into an advantageous position when in a stalemate, like TLO's nuke pushing. Also I mean ghost EMP is near instant (dodging them is dodging the command more than reacting to the missile itself). Terran late game if it were ever fully explored is really really scary and possibly something that is a flaw WoL that we might never see.
Slower than Seeker : Charge the unit into enemy lines. Faster than Seeker : Run unit back until Seeker's timed life is over.

Yeah the way he managed to save his hatch at the 5 o clock was sick, he should have died but his infestor/ling/ultra army control is just that good. I'm happy to see that stephano is back ^^.
