Only 1 day left for signing up! Get in on this ladies!
Wow, time for some rematches.
So confused, how come both Flo and Luway are 2nd at Champion Cup 2? Was it a 2v2 tournament or something? :s
Sorry I'm the king of typos, Luway is 2nd at champion cup 3.
everyone cheer for Luway so she doesnt fall asleep!!! LUWAY FIGHTING!!!
So is every girl tournament from now til he end of time going to be the same 4 players? ><
Heh, those are the 4 tops ones, always new girls showing up to play. Just click view all participants.
i just got aurora to sign up! yay! best girl zerg fighting
Such a small prize pool! surely they should accept donations to make it bigger and support laddies in Starcraft? Who wouldn't want to support that?
It is almost that time folks!
Flo and Luway overslept :X
To be fair, the event started 10am at the very earliest for even west coast. Here in Taiwan, it starts at 2am, and for Korea 3am.
Its probably smart to move the event forward 2 hours: making someone wake up at 8am to play is a lot easier than asking someone to stay up playing till 6am. Considering that luway and aphrodite are the strongest competitors in this tournament, having them lose will just bring up controversy about the ridiculous time they play at anyways.

Someone should definitely try to invite her to these. I wana root for ColaGirl and Luway but the times are so meh for China/Taiwan =/
Regardless, we need more female tournaments (female leagues would be even better). GL HF all!

luway is a NA GrandMaster.... The thing about luway is that she's a student of WulongStorm. WulongStorm is the only GM on KR/TW server in Taiwan atm.

Flo isn't even in the bracket

No wonder, Flo stayed up till very very late last night plus was sick. A shame!
DaSakura looks pretty convincing, her drop play versus Aphrodite was pretty nice.

Yai! Aphrodite won! Congrats ~~~~~~~~~~
What a marathon that was!
Huge props to Aphrodite for lasting from 2a all the way till 10am!! A definition of an Iron Lady for sure. Thx to all girls who showed up and played and really showcased some awesome games!

gg's good tournament, but seriously, start it at 11am EST. I understand that it's nice to give good times to Americans, but if you're trying to make a good tournament with top players, 11am is the LATEST you should start. Waking up at 7am PST (10am EST) is much easier than doing what Aphrodite did, what luway did not do, and what most good Asians would refuse to do.

I understand how you feel but you have to understand this cup is mainly for western players, so first and foremost it has to be a good hour for them. We can't start at a crazy early hour on the potential of getting 2 asian players.

What a shame luway no showed, I've seen her play so well in clan wars!

Since when is 8am a crazy early hour? Unless you're under the age of 20, 8 should be a fine hour to wake up and start your day... Starting a tournament at 2am is the crazy part, and not just crazy late, but crazy stupid. It completely ruins someone's sleep schedule, whereas 8am doesn't do anything to a normal person's sleep schedule.
Edit: Not only that, but you can get more than just 2 players..... You know there are quite a few female SC2 players in Asia you can invite...................................... Needless to say, probably more than in Europe and NA (although Europe does seem to have tons of female SC2 players).

Like I said, these tournaments are USA/Europe based, therefore starting at tournament at 8am for majority of the players makes no sense. I don't know how many tournaments you play at 8am, but its not optimal. I told you I get it that the tournament time is not optimal for asian players, but they are not the majority in the tournament thats why the time is going to be bad for them. We appreciate any talented asian player that is able to show up, but at the end of the day, to get more asian girls to play, then ESL Asia is going to have to put together an Iron Lady.

Admittedly, it's not unusual to wake up at 8 am. However, I think it's worth noting that for those of us who wake up at 8 am to get to work at 9 am, the first hour or two after an early wake-up you're often in "Groggie Towne" even if you've had a cup of coffee or two. Sc2 is an ART and you have to be warmed up and in the zone, etc.
11 am isn't because we anticipate people waking up at 11 am. It's because people often wake up several hours before a tournament, get warmed up, etc.

I can say that I never wake up at 8 am on a weekend and would never want to play in a tournament if I woke up that early
