If you're confident the opponent is going roach heavy, armour is better. Weapons only matter if you're +3 and the roaches are unupgraded. Then they start 2 shotting them instend of 3. If you think the zerg will open up muta first (most do against mech) you can go the weapons path to deal with the mutas better but won't really affect your thor-roach battles unless there's a huge difference in upgrades. | ||

Vikings earlier would have been good too. | ||
