About to say, I remember seeing Bomber, I think..., doing something like this as well. It looks like it's gaining in popularity.
Major popped up yesterday to say MVP actually did it way back in the GSL too on Crossfire (vs July), but it didn't really seem to catch on back then while everyone is doing it lately.
Oh god... knowing me, I'm going to be looking through old vods for that game...
Man this was a sloppy series, somewhat entertaining but mostly because of MrBitter, Take, and Rotterdam being so exhausted. Revival does in no way deserve to win after letting hellions roast his drones what 5 games in a row.

Doing what?
Anyone who watches SC2 a lot knew the game was over when the PF finished at the gold base, the casters were making fake hype.
Zerg up in supply! (on shitty no upgrade raoches and drones)
OMG he is killing all the tanks!!!! (he was all-in, 2 base with drops. Just banshee could have ended that attack and the PF would be repaired, nothing you can do about it.)

brb.
It was originally a build invented by IM Happy. Mvp said in that interview that Happy suggested it and thus Mvp tried it again July. But to be honest, that is quite an old beta build.
Wow a few big names in here, but sadly none of them qualified. Props to sound though for making it though. Was hoping for bomber, jjakji or keen though myself.
I would never have predicted Sound to go through if you had shown me the grid before. Congrats to him! Hopefully Revival will come too, he's pretty good.

Well, to be very honest, I would've never expected him to take out that army after losing 82 fucking drones :p.
I know people are criticizing the players, but it is 3 am in Korea right now and they have been playing for quite a while so the ending is expected to be pretty.... sloppy.

MrBitter got involved in the SC2 scene as a writer for SC2GG. I met him when I was also a writer there. We did a feature together called the "Faceoff" or something, where we'd take sides in a Proleague game and argue over who would win (it was just a way to preview a cool upcoming matchup — here is an example).
Anyway, Ben is just the nicest, most level-headed dude. He was never a super serious BW player (he got way more into the game when SC2 came out) but he loved SC even in BW days. On my bday one year he shipped me a bottle of wine, it was a really nice gesture.
So go MrBitter! It's cool to see the guy making it "big" in SC2.
