Its possibly worth it because the tanks aren't useful when the broods are out, and if they can kill enough infestors then the marines can clean up. But I doubt it will become standard.

I don't really understand the thought behind this strategy. tanks in siege mode seem more effective vs. infestors than tanks in medivacs Problem is all the Broodlings make the tanks kill eachother in siegemode, so at a point where there are many broodlords they are kind of useless.

I don't really understand the thought behind this strategy. tanks in siege mode seem more effective vs. infestors than tanks in medivacs Tanks are next to useless when broodlords are out. You might as well risk it and get infestor kills than have them bomb your own units. Remember the infestor is the true backbone to the endgame zerg army, and each infestor killed will diminish a zerg's power exponentially. The difference between 8 fungals and 9 fungals may be 20 supply worth of marines.

This sounds about right. Really agree with your assessment of that MMA-DRG battle; it seemed like DRG just had no clue how to separate his units once MMA split off his tanks in the medivacs. that was definitely a confused engagement.

Yeh, he didn't react at all and tanks kill infestors so damn fast even unseiged. This game has become a bit of a anti-climax ![]()
