Nah, he wasn't breaking that contain with his current army regardless of how he engaged it. It was over once the contain went up.
He either needed colossus to out range things, a number of immortals to quickly break through or to prevent the contain from going up in the first place. The reason he wasn't able to do any of that was because of all the useless tech he got.

Terran just whined the same way when GSL introduced the new large maps back in the beginning of GSL code S seasons. But they still kept winning macro games anyway.
Also people who say tanks are not viable vs protoss are just idiots who just a+ move and siege their tanks and expect to come out on top every time. I think by now everyone should know that as long as you can position your tanks well and have enough units to hold the line, tanks are quiet viable in TvP.

I'm pretty sure most terrans know how to use tanks considering it's a staple in TvT and TvZ, no one at any level expects to 1a... They're just bad, and people have tried using it but MMM is just better, and the new buff to protoss doesn't change that. Siege tanks will basically do the same thing EMP does, and by the time they've done enough damage to start taking away health chargelots/blink stalkers are gonna be on top of your army. Tanks are just designed poorly against late game protoss compositions. Bio with EMPs are just better, period.
