Unless you mean that Protoss represents less than 1/3 of the racial distribution in the Ro16, but if that's the case, why phrase it so obtusely? Also, if that is the case 3 doesn't divide into 16 evenly. The best you can hope for is a 6 / 5 / 5 spread; there will always be at least one race comprising < 1/3 of the Ro16. Also, to reiterate, every Protoss left has advanced out of their groups. What is it that compels you whine about the balance here? Apparently some people will not be happy unless a protoss gets so good that he is able to reverse time and cause there to be more protoss in the Ro32. Like...the 19 terrans in the Ro32 were leftovers from previous seasons in which the format meant a ridiculously small number of players dropped from Code S and therefore realigning the racial imbalance was going to take months and months. Seriously, who looks at this GSL thus far, sees EVERY protoss advance and still says 'well they aren't doing that well, there's only 5 in the Ro16'.
It wasn't JUST the gsl that made people comment on the state of Toss. It's obstinate to say that the last few months were good competitive months of Starcraft. One day with the Toss' able to survive such a horrible period against frankly some of the excess Terrans on a map pool that has been tailored to try and fix the problem means little.
1/1/1 will still continue to dominate especially on certain maps. Ghosts in the late game willl still be super strong though there have been developments as the remaining toss have had to become mechanically superior to keep templar alive and now more skill will be required in aiming emps. Maps like Calm before the storm were specifically designed to bring about a more balanced result by being a "toss" map. In PvZ it was the extreme eco edge that made the difference. Certain maps emphasized this feature.
Do you want a competitive multirace game or not?

Toss has been doing relatively well for, I'd say, about a month now. Certainly there was a period where protoss were getting dicked; this was a part of my point. The Ro32 for this season is a result of previous seasons; it is a relic of a time where protoss could not beat terran for whatever reason (and that reason is NOT absolutely and necessarily balance). It was also a result of a wonky format where dropping out of Code S was unreasonably difficult.
Plus your point on maps making the game more balanced seems odd to me; it is well established that in BW the game was only balanced because people worked so hard to make maps that tailored to certain races strengths. Maps contributing to balance is not a problem, it does not delegitamise the fact that protoss are batting five for five.

wow HuK is tearin shit up. and grats to puzzle. good to see protoss make it

I find it rather strange someone would say Huk is better than nestea after huk advances out of the group states for the 2nd time in his whole GSL career..while nestea was 2nd @ blizzcon and 3-times GSL champion, 2-time semi-finalist, 1-time, and 1 time quarter-finalist

yay 3 protoss made it out, good job!
finally clide drops to code a, i hope he gets knocked out xD
jjakji pretty good eh??!

edit:
Lol 1 day of tosses who have survived the culling of the last few months and we're being a little too optimistic. Look at who has been eliminated so far. Also note what gom did with the maps for Toss. Lets not get overexcited kids. Everyone was optimistic after Orlando and then the next set of tournaments corrected that misperception.
Which tournament are you talking about?
ESWC - P second IeSF world champ - P second Samsung Euro Champ - P first ASUS RoG - P third ESV Korean finals - P first and second
The only two major events where P did not finish top 3 were Blizzcon where Naniwa was the only recognizable toss and finished 4th and GSL finals, where everything apart from finals was already played before MLG. In the current GSL, toss are doing well in Code A and S. I am not sure which tournaments you are referring to.

I have faith in Huk, dont forget that many of his mediocer results in code S have come at a time when even staying in code S was actually a good result for a protoss user. I honestly belive he is quite possibly the best protoss player in the world ATM, and with protoss looking really good right now, this is a good opportunity for him to make a run.

Protoss fighting, this makes me very happy.

Virus, because everyone shits on him season after season -- yeah, I'm looking at you, Fionn -- when he's definitely better than a player like Ensnare. Jjakji still needs to strut his stuff and represent NsHS, while July is July. If Virus finishes above Supernova in the group, I will write an apology to Virus in the next GSL article about how I underestimated him and that I am sorry that I ever doubted his skill. Virus didn't advance from the group but he sure finished above Supernova.

huk participated in less GSLs and he met MVP in ro16. if you lose to mvp that doesnt mean u cant beat everyone else in the tournament.

VERY happy for Sangho he's one of the most underrated player in korea. Also supernova vs jjakji was one of the funniest game i've ever watched. great day of GSL overall

I mean, he looked great today but he's going to need a miracle to get to the ro8 o_o I might be wrong but I think that's the perfect group for HuK if he ever wants to be a champion. You know...all that "to be the best you need to beat the best" crappy moto ^^, if he goes through it's 1 or 2 less champions in the final 8
I see your point about beating the best to be the best, although I'd rather have the other amazing players taken out in other groups and HuK advancing a bit easier ^^

I assume this is not a justification for him being better than Nestea? -_- I'm a huge fan of Huk but even trying to claim that would be ludicrous. Huk has to prove he is better first if he wants that title. I do think it is feasible he could win a GSL someday though. Needs some luck and skill though for sure

Nestea would have like 6 GSL titles and a Blizzcon championship if it weren't for MVP.
