I'm not arguing the games I'm arguing an old tried and tested format(of course the BW one is less complicated but more or less the same) idk, maybe it's the game, I don't think SC2 is inheriantly more cheesy than BW (others might disagree) but I think the game (and the maps) hasn't been figured out to allow for an exciting game every Bo1

I'm talking about the argument day9 and Idra had ages ago, and yes, anyone saying "Idra won" is a blatant fanboy, because no serious argument took place to begin with, and they do need to get slapped. Idra said that either zerg need to be able to scout (or deduct/eliminate builds), or they need a build that can react to all terran builds. Day9 refused to accept that, without saying why. You must either hate Idra or love Day9 to not see that it wasnt Day9s proudest moment.

I mean, I appreciate a good imba whine, but I can't think of a single Zerg unit that doesn't outrange a banshee. Unless you mean that LINGS can't hit them. That's why you bring more than one banshee. You exploit the fact that the collision detection for spores and queens are enormous compared to banshees. With minimal micro this allows you to attack with your full arsenal of banshees vs a max of 2-3 anti-air units at any given time.

With so many cheeses available in sc2 BO1 is just silly, there is almost no 'safe' play. Even worse being unlucky to get 0-2'd could mean you face a good code A player and even get knocked down to code B immediately. I just don't get why such idiots get to make the most important tournament... If Nestea loses enough, then he deserves to fall out. After all, a tournament is not supposed to be an absolute measure of skill. For if the strongest people won all the time, there would be no excitement. Cheese allows weaker players to win. Id adds excitement. But it will always piss off the fans of the loser, who will always look for someone to blame other than something wrong with the player they love. They will blame the game or the opponent or the opponent's race. Cheese is legit, will always exist, and is a function of the fact that pros are really innovative!

You're not going to see everyone go "beautiful play omg sick" when all these guys do is one or two base all inning each other. I don't care if they trash the games just the balance whining is tiring.

I just tested it too, Banshee wins, but Queen can force Banshee near a spore.

I'm not arguing the games I'm arguing an old tried and tested format(of course the BW one is less complicated but more or less the same) The group stage format is fine. People always QQ "oh but it's so easy to cheese a bo1" but you see just as much cheese in bo3s given players needs to mix up their styles when they are playing the same person more than once :/ bo1 groups have, for the most part, still ensured that the best players that day have advanced forwards in the GSL. === Anyway, really looking forward to this. sC usually tools Losira but perhaps Losira will have something special planned. Also excited to see CbtS played in the GSL =)
