And it doesnt even have anything to do with stargate, you could do the same with the warp prism, and even more gates. fact is, you rely on your enemy not scouting... it's like hiding a pylon in the enemy base and calling it a good strategy you can rely on every time :O I don't know about you, but it seemed pretty obvious that those two void rays were there to kill any vision the zerg has at that part of his base. You're making it sound like MC was flipping coins, when that simply isn't the case. It was a well thought out and executed build.

What happens when you trade 200/200 armies on 4 bases? Is that a 4 base all-in? Basically, there's no definition of where the line is between all-in and...I don't know, battle? I understand how 4 gate is an 'all-in', but I consider this thing by MC a timing attack. 2 bases up and running, 6 gates + 2-3 voids: attack. Sure, stopped making probes, but if you stop making workers before 71 workers is it automatically all-in from there? I don't know, maybe I'm just confused =/ There was no doubt that MCs build was all in. Had it failed, he has 34 probes (probably 15-20 less than what he could have) and stargate tech which is not meaningful tech at all. Meanwhile Kyrix has 70-80 drones + lair tech + upgrades. No recovery if it fails

Check beats Nada in the GSTL I really dislike how Moletrap is overly negative in regards to players =\ So what if Check is 13-25? Anything can happen in a bo1

The Stargate, the multiple Void rays (no Phoenix), the lack of probes on the second base, the probe moving out, the forge upgrading, the pylons, the 6 gates, the units WARPING directly into your main etc. Kyrix just totally failed and had pretty much zero units at the point of the attack. Yeah it is a lot to orchestrate but fortunately right up until you start warping in you can bail on the attack. That was a very clever use of map control, which is what voidrays give. I think I might steal that. I noted he used two gas the entire time.

And don't get me started on the term metagame.. It's mind-boggling. 'Cheese' is even worse. Droolers gonna drool. If you don't wait for 3-3-3 and 200 supply you suck and are a cheeser/all-inner/overrated

Yeah, I've been betting against Check all season and most of the time he's proven me wrong. With the way Check's been playing recently, you really can't count him out automatically anymore.

This is MC, not some bronze leaguer who's somehow going to not do enough damage with 11 +1 zealots, a sentry for ramp and 3-4 VRs for him to outright lose the game if it doesn't win right then and there. MAYBE Kyrix holds, but how the F is he going to win if MC loses 11 lots/sent and probably saves 2-3 VRs??? No tech? He's up to +1 and a Stargate? He's walled. I seriously have no idea why this is cheese or all-in. Great zergs can hold that and counter to win, it is all-in, (especially cutting probes that hard) that doesn't mean that you can't transition out of it though if you do enough damage. Stargate and 6 gates isn't much tech either, he was at a point in the game that he could be getting up colossus tech and taking a 3rd while eventually going HT. See how that is a smooth transition with multiple tech paths and the ability to upgrade.

I seriously have no idea why this is cheese or all-in. Because it all depends on the damage that the attack was going to do. Assuming Kyrix didn't even lose a single drone and did crush that entire force, MC has no chance of winning unless Kyrix made a string of catatstrophic mistakes. A somewhat similar game like this would be Trickster vs Losira in last season's Code S on Metalopolis. Losira crushed that attack and Trickster NEVER stood a chance subsequently. It is an all-in, albeit a well-executed one.
