2011 Global StarCraft II League August/Up and Down

Up & Down Match Format Change
- Code A Winner will automatically advance to Code S without going through Up & Down Match
- MLG Winner will receive a GSL Code S seed for the following month. (Even if the winner is a Korean player, the seed will be provided). If the winner turns down the Code S seed or is already a Code S player then the runner-up then 3rd place will be given the seed.
- Code S 4th Place Players (8) + Code A Top 7 = 15 players
- Players will be divided into 3 groups of 5.
- One group per day will be broadcasted. Each group’s 1st and 2nd Place will advance to Code S.

Losira won't lose to anyone except maybe Kyrix. Jjakji will probably lose to Losira. MC will lose to Losira, maybe some other Zerg and probably Jjakji.

Would be a shame for MC to drop to code A if Patch 1.4 gets released before the start of October GSL. Protoss should make a better showing after 1.4, making MC a favorite to win Code A if he drops...and a contender in Code S again if he stays. As long as he brings his PvZ "A" game, he should have no problem.

With how the order of games is
LosirA > MC
Kyrix > Check
LosirA > Jjakji
Kyrix ? MC

There's a good chance that MC will have to beat Kyrix to not drop in code A already.
Losira will be quickly at 3-0
Jjakji should be at 2-1
If MC lose vs Kyrix he'll be screwed. Well in fact that's not true, the last game is jjakji vs MC, it could be the decisive one with jjakji at 2-1 and MC at 1-2, so it'll be the code S game.

If MC manage to beat Losira, this could be a mess, as Jjakji will have a motivation bonus of +10 to beat Losira.

If LosirA brings his A game he will roll through here, his zvz is better then check and kyrix his zvp is really really good, only problem i see is Jjakji. Then again i thought the same with his code S group, hope he's motivated and ready.

MC is going to get the second spot, if he survives the terran early aggresion.
