We're excited to officially announce Season VI of EG's Master's Cup Series League. However, before the final eight teams are announced we would like to give teams the opportunity of applying to become an official team of the tournament. Teams will now have the ability to apply to participate in one of two online qualifiers (North America and Europe). Four teams will be selected out of the applications to participate in each qualifier with the top team from each qualifier becoming the official MCSL team for Season VI.
To submit an application for your team you must e-mail lucas@myeg.net with your team's name, server, website, roster, and achievements and title the e-mail "MCSL Season VI Qualifier Application" without the quotes. We will choose four teams to particulate in each qualifier. One qualifier will be held on the North American server while the other will be held on Europe.
The deadline for submitting your team's application is July 5 by 11:59pm EDT.
Format:
- 4 Teams per Qualifier
- Single Elimination
- 3 best-of-3 1v1 matches and 1 best-of-3 2v2
- If there's a tie, a 1v1 best-of-3 ACE match will be played to determine a winner
- Official maps are TBD.
Dates:
Wednesday, July 6 - Sunday, July 10.
IMPORTANT: Each team in the qualifiers is responsible for organizing their matches with their opponents. A winner for each qualifier must be named by July 9.
I want to encourage all interested teams to apply for Season VI before the deadline. If you have any additional questions please feel free to e-mail me at lucas@myeg.net.

Only the top team from each qualifier. I think the bottom two from the current season drop out.

The top six teams from the previous season automatically qualify while the bottom two teams drop out. The 1st place team from each qualifier will earn one of the spots.

It's going to be a similar format with 3 1v1s (best-of-3) / 1 2v2 (best-of-3) and 1 ACE (best-of-3) if needed.

Hopefully we get to see lots of teams signing up for this...the likes of Empire, imba.FXO, Reign, vile, etc all worthy of the team league.
What about the bottom teams, like MyM? Are they allowed to try and requalify?

Yes, both MYM and Millenium are welcome to submit an application.

Hmm, only 2 spots, this is going to be pretty competitive I think, would've loved to see the league expanded to 10 teams!
Wonder if Liquid will want to join in xD.

Would love liquid to apply. Probably dont have the players atm with huk and jinro in korea and tlo unable to play. Such a shame.
