Yet two European teams fell out of the series, so Season VI is going to introduce an NA team at the expense of a European slot. Not sure how I feel about that, given that the EU server is universally acknowledged as the more difficult server.

If Empire enters, they will definitely win, (wait, why were they snubbed last season?) but that leaves out MYM, Millenium, Ai, and some other good teams. While the NA qualifier will probably bring in Reign or GoSu, and I can't say I'd expect either of those teams to be favorites against some of the European squads that won't be included.

Why not make this league a twelve team league? Eight teams is too few, twelve would get just about all of the good teams out there, but still have some competition for the final spots.
pretty much this. PLUS all the european teams currently fighting for the slot are Teamleague material.

How can you fault EG for eliminating the 2 lowest ranking teams? It would be terribly unfair to eliminate the lowest ranking NA team if there are 2 weaker european teams (weaker in the sense that they placed lower, not necessarily a weaker team).

Next season it could be that the 2 lowest teams are NA and then they are replaced with 1 NA and 1 european. It could be only european teams in a few seasons. It is just the way they have set it up. And the way it is set up is completely fair to everyone...

Awesome, big grats to ItsGosu definitely a big underdog, Surprised ReiGN didn't put out Kiwikaki O.O. Either way pumped for S2. Empire definitely a big favourite, they'll be tough .

Seems like he's at the WSOP.....doesn't look good for his odds at MLG if he's doing poker over sc2.

He's kicking ass at WSOP though.

Also he was on stream earlier watching games between Rain and White-Ra so I imagine he's still involved even during the WSOP.

If the connection from Russia/Ukraine to NA is decent Empire will get at least top 4.

Alternate would deserve the spot much more then any new NA team...

Empire will rape.

if you are eliminating the 2 lowest teams regardless of region why are the qualifiers regional?

Wow,GOSU 3-0ed FXOpen??? And we're wondering why these guys get destroyed in the GSTL.
I'm sad Reign didn't advance,I think they would if they played Kiwi.

Also, the Empire team is beastly, they will be on the next EGMC Finals for sure.

Awesome for Empire and GoSu. Seeing as how FXO was playing for the first time with lag from Korea, it's not surprising that they didn't quite make it. GoSu is really an exciting team to watch, and it'll be exciting to see them play.

Unfortunately Kiwikaki was in Las Vegas for WSOP (and still is in the main event) when this happened. Obviously its disappointing.

Yep, Beastyqt Kas Happy and Nerchio. Amazing line up, maybe only "weakness" is that they are Terran heavy
