Coca blew up lots of banelings on a tank there
No idea why Nada stayed there so long..
|
Nada needs Happy's micro in a situation like this
|
120 zerglings in production!?
Edit: nvm, crappy stream.
|
IMO that was smart from NaDa to stay there, because if he leaves CoCa would kill that force with more ease. This way Nada saw the forces of coca and killed a small portion of coca's forces. Meanwhile he macroed hard and expoing.

Since when do players not have to be red/blue in GSL?

There was a walloff (which he didn't even make it to because of the three marines at the 2nd ramp) and there were patrolling marines at the base perimeter. It's not like Junwi had scans or overlord speed that early.
And regarding the greediness: the only way to hold that off is to build several spines and cut drone production entirely. How is that even reasonable to do blind? Junwi had enough lings to kill the 3 marines denying scouting. Instead he attacked his rocks. He could've whacked those marines and seen no CC, then gone allout defence and win easily. He had 4 lings... And even that aside, the barracks were behind the wall so he wouldn't have seen them anyways. Yeah, not seeing a CC would cause him to bulk up his defense a bit, but there's no way he could possibly have known there was actually a CC further back or not and his reaction would be a total gamble. Could've sworn it was at least 6. Either way, he could've gotten into the nat and seen a CC. True, you can't see if they have an inbase CC. But if it's inbase they aren't going to zoom ahead of you economically or anything, so you can afford a bit more safety, some lings or spines or whatever. If you're wrong and they're doing an inbase CC you lose...300 minerals and 2 drones MAX, 150/1 if you like cutting corners. That's worth the safety, and will not kill you if you're wrong. If you make 8 or so lings early on "just in case" youre going to be behind economically. This idea that Zerg is behind if they ever make anything but drones is hilarious.
What you talkin about bro 100 drones is standard play.

Terran cant beat zerg late game......... and zergs cant scout terran allins properly early game, thats just the fact and its a game flaw. I don't think that these games are a very good example of this, even if there's truth to it. T played every engagement really sloppy, i had my face in my hands nearly the whole time. Re the second, maybe but there are things he could have done possibly - zergling at ramp to at least see whats coming out etc
It's more that the margin for error is very different depending on where in the game you are.
Early game, if zerg messes up once to early pressure (either micro or scouting) he can die to properly executed pressure/harass.
Late game, if terran mis-controls his army, he can lose to game to fungal/baneling. Zerg can generally retreat his army, whereas terran generally cannot retreat, and can lose 30+ marines in a heartbeat.

Coca engage the siege tank line but loses most of his forces
Now double expanding from coca along with a infestation pit

But instead of scouting with them he sent five to kill the rocks on his 3rd and one to scout. 3 marines just barely blocked that one ling from seeing that there was no expansion.
Junwi had the option of commiting more to making sure he was safe to drone up, he didn't and died. It's not fun to watch or play against but it isn't really unfair either.
