No, because you still have to be top 2 in your group. You need more than one lucky game to get top 2.
Best of 1 format is just bad. Playing against different player you can cheese or whatever and take games off player that are better than you.
like what happened to MVP, xigua, titan and others who apparently sweeped through groups?
this format was used long time and its good dont make it sound like 6 poolers got lucky and won wcg group
You don't have to be lucky, you just have to get lucky in the one or two matches where your opponent is better.
both killer and orly are 0-4 against idra, and I guarantee they would not win a bo5 series, and had a good cheese ready to snipe him out. Orly got utterly destroyed at Dreamhack
Again:
This isn't just best of 1 it's Bo1 in a group stage with 7 people. Of course you can say things such as you aren't used to your opponent as much so you get cheesed easier, but this is actually not argument related to bad format just lack of allround skill from Idra if you think he is more likely to lose in this format. You could for example argue that the format is bad for Idra because he is not good at playing a different player each time. This does not make it a bad format, it makes it a bad format for Idra. Other players will consistently be better in this format.
Lol.. wait, there's people who actually think bo1 group stage is good? I can't believe its even a discussion.
Is there a possibility for a 3 way tie in group 1 F91 Socke and elfi if elfi beats F91? In the Liquipedia page the Moonglade is placed 1ˢᵗ and F91 2ⁿᵈ.

If idra loses? Well we can always say he was tired due to playing so many games XD
Better yet, it could be a BoN, where N >= 3, N <= B, and B is the minimum minimun number of games needed where Idra can show his full potential.. that way we could save several pages of constant testosterone-induced bickering and whining.

Probably because you aren't used to it or know the history of it within WCG. ._.

Winner of elfi vs F91 advances in 2nd place. Socke is out.

bo1 gives the best chance for an inferior player to surprise a better one and walk away with the win
to phrase it better, actionjezuz(as an example, hes not there) could 6pool his group, win every time, and get to the final bracket because of it
not all idra games were shown so who knows why he lost, but the fact is bo1 format virtually guarantees there will be no consistency in the skill of the players who make it through (other than perhaps being able to hold cheese well)
You make is sound as if BoX formats are vastly superior to Bo1. They aren't.
Also, stop trying to connect Bo1 and cheese somehow. Just makes your argument that much less convincing.
Idra has said that he doesn't have a good handle on ZvZ. Have you considered that?

well, if the best player is supposed to win every time we should just give the tournament to MVP without even bother to play. What's the point? We all know he's the best player.
