Which is why we've asked over and over again to allow for some kind of tournament edition that allows for lan play. The reality is that they are right, no LAN doesn't matter 99% of the time for most people, but considering that the long term success of SC2 is tied to the success as an eSport, it seems like it would be GOOD for business.

What do you want from him? my problem with DDE is the fact that he tried to make Grubby look stupid knowing their matches were being streamed live to an audience. Grubby: "I'm getting lag." DDE: 'THERE IS NO LAG YOUR JUST CRYING CAUSE YOU'RE LOSING!" even tho there was clearly HUGE lag spikes. (this is obviously an exaggeration but this is EXACTLY how dde meant it by makiong T.T and "there is no lag for me" which was a lie

Is it remotely possible he wasn't lagging and he was afraid grubby was using it as an excuse since he (grubby) was in a really bad spot regardless of lag?

GSL is in south korea, with the fastest and most advanced internet in the world blizzard is trying to promote e-sports in the west, where we have shitty internet, by FORCING us to play it with internet.

Agreed, the game should've just been replayed(even though it sucks, since it was so far into the game). That being said you can't really regame that. There's a very good argument that that'd happen no matter the lag. As soon as the hellions had done that dmg, there's not much to do tbh.

Because it would only have to leak once. That would happen pretty fast. I mean, I disagree with Blizzard completely. I think they could make more money with a LAN version; huge piracy of games/films/music increases exposure and thus sales, and DRM doesn't actually make more money for the company in the long run.

Dreamhack could handle 1000's of computers, but Swedish internet is amazing. LAN would fix any problem with American internet being shit.
