This thread is for discussing the games, not crying about balance. Thanks. |
In regards to Ret's last game.... Banelings literally couldn't touch the marines with that amount of seige tanks.
If a terran keeps hims 20 odd marines next to 8+ tanks, there isn't a way for zerg to break that, without broodlords, and even then, with their lack of speed, they can be VERY hit and miss.
Marines vs Zerg for mineral sink... In mass, zerg hardly hit. At least marines are able to do some damage.

I like Phenii on this map, give you the air control to take expansions safer.
|
The problem with the observing is that Artosis does most of the talking, but he's looking at different stuff from the observer
|
phoenix harass is doing very strong damage, infestors building but without energy upgrade
|
Phoenixs go to town on Zerg base killing 2 queens, and 5-6 Overlords.

So removing zerg will get rid of those people that whine anyways (sweeping generalization, but honestly, the only whiners I've seen in both BW and SC2 play zerg...) uh T is the weakest race in BW Nope, T was the strongest race in BW, Protoss was the weakest... Anyways, those baneling drops were pretty awesome even though the tech path led to an eventual loss. Competition wise yeah
but T is def the most difficult race to use and excel at

SangHo putting up 3rd base and 2 robo now

Doesn't necessarily mean the matchup is imbalanced but just that the current metagame is hard for zerg. I'd like to see more counters, drops, and nydus play to force terran tank lines to unsiege and defend. Only issue with this is that terrans are great at base trading so a good defensive unit to slow down tank+marine pushes would help them out (one that doesn't throw away 150 gas each time because its cast range is gets crapped on by tanks).
Also wtf is jookto doing? Agree with this. Zerg needs new ideas on how to deal with tank/marine pushes, but it will be hard since so many Z units are awful vs this combo. There really isn't any effective pre-broodlord unit composition that can bust a tank line and the window between deciding on getting broodlords and getting the broodlords is ridiculously big In the game where TLO played Losira on xel naga i think he had something figured out there, and this was even pre-patch where roach still had range 3 and tanks were godly, the thing is he almost won that game with his active mass roach armies. I think maybe that could work. of course you will need some banes for the rines

Why cant i pick a game anymore... i was almost top 100 in liquibet now i've picked 14 players who have lost in the last 16 games. I'm on a 11 loss streak!

Killer researched Warp Gates...and is using a normal Gateway instead.
There, he finally converted them.

Oh, lag suddenly. Should I throw up the poll now? I don't think this is going much longer.

Just wondering, why did SangHo pull back there? I mean he could've killed like a gazillion drones/overlords right?
|
Is it just me or is the observer not doing a very good job today?
|
jookto massing tons of muta, many phoenix out though. Sangho putting everything into colossi now,

to the guy who asked why he left, spore crawler

I have the same impression. He is usually great, not today.

No, he has been spectacular lately but today it is sloppy. Maybe hes got a case of the Mondays?

I really don't understand what this misconception comes from. Who made the claim that kiting banelings was harder than hitting stuff with it? Last time I checked a group of stimmed marines can outkite banelings any day of the week due to the insane speed disparity, while tanks blow them to pieces.. As others have said above the current metagame that is marine tank vs ling muta is extremely hard for zerg.
The truth is it's the opposite, if your marines get hit by a single baneling you freaking suck.

This is 100 percent true. And when this happens zerg has to try to get out broods.
