It's the influence of Artosis and his dumb theory, "When you're ahead, what do you do? Get more ahead!". I mean, that completely defies the very definition of 'timing attack' that is by far the most prevalent strategy in current state of game. They think any aggressive Zerg play (exception: ST_July due to their personal bias) is either cheesy or 'has no depth'. What they like to see is Zerg expanding and droning mindlessly while dealing with harrass. Sure that works sometimes and good way to learn but in Bo1/Bo3/Bo5 you will often be harassed to death or die to timing attacks when you try to get 'more ahead'.
Wow, Ganzi was really impressive.... Really incredible multi-tasking. He seemed to lose some units needless but he was keeping macro up and doing shit all over the map at once. This guys for real.
wish haypro didnt have to play a terran abusing the hell outa of the matchu; very frustrating to watch. can't wait till this game is balanced and i hope hayder keeps up the amazing work. game 1 he killed like 20 medivacs with like 50 marines total in them and picked off tanks all game and still has a smaller army the whole time.... GG

That might be true, but they do say "get more ahead" for every race, not just zerg. You might just be noticing that they don't say, "here comes that timing attack" for zerg players, because really, what is a 'timing attack' for zerg? They just don't have any significant, battle changing upgrades (like blink is, storm is, stim pack is, siege mode is, etc).

Sure there are 'timing attacks' for zerg, albeit in reactionary ways: Attack before stim finishes, attack before seige mode is done, attack before Colossi are out, attack when the opponent is expanding,.. want more?
Really enjoyed cocoa's games. Dug his lair/drop style. Would've liked to see his steez vs collosus VR though. It's too early to judge but he may be an up and coming zerg. Speaking of which, I'm really happy that Leenock got through. There was a point where his game sense was being compared to zergbong's. He's got a long ways to go till a similar comparison is made but I hope he takes his game up a notch. Too bad he had to face off against Yugioh, yet another promising zerg.

Why do you assume when he said "get more ahead" that he meant to be more passive? It is possible to get more ahead by being aggressive.
And yes they think aggressive Zerg play is cheesy or has no depth because it hasn't worked. No one has been able to make it work (until now?). Aside from JulyZerg, show me a VoD of a Zerg where he beat someone ZvP or ZvT while being extremely aggressive. You will find none unless there is a huge skill mismatch. So it is a valid assumption that Zergs should be passive and should defend until someone proves us wrong. July's game 1 vs MVP is a start. Let us see if he or any other zergs can build on it.

Hehe so many promising zergs!! It's good to see Leenock make it through this matchup - he was a surprise Code A drop down in my opinion he has the skills to be code S; lucky he has a heap of time to get super good because he is so damn young!!
As much as i enjoyed watching cocoa's games - i really wanted to see Ace go through; oh well at least Startale have Virus it would have been a massive party if Ace got through as well after July downed MVP twice and then Virus got through :D
bl haypro. he really tried but i think he had too much pressure after losing the 1st game so he kinda stressed himself out of playing well in the 2nd game.
wonder why he didnt go infestors. he did have 6 gases right? if anything, it might force terran to go ghosts. but maybe haypro hasnt prac'd with infestors vs terran
Ganzi did really well to stop Haypro expanding numerous times. great map awareness and control.
