When I lose a game I choose the map that profits me the most. Against zerg I'd have no problem with lost temple, but knowing that my opponent "might" counter-pick terran, I'd never go with lost temple. That's the benefit of being able to play all 3 races at a top level imo. That of course only accounts for tournaments where the opponent can't prepare for a specific mattchup anyway. | ||

I think another topic would be better for that. This is a live report thread. Well, it's specificly about this tournament allowing it - because GSL for example does NOT allow race-picking afaik. So my first post regarding this topic wasn't about race-picking in general, just about me being surprised that it's even allowed. Anyways: what's wrong with GLHF, they just randomly decided to not stream matches while so many are being played right now? EDIT: as I say it they are back with HuK and make me look like a fool  | ||

The point is that it "could" be done, not that anyone actually does it. And that is EXACTLY what is the good side of beeing random. Your opponent just cant prepare, because you can pick the favoured race whenever you need to. Its not that its easy to be good at every race on top level .. Why shouldn't you take this advantage in a tourney .. ? | ||
