Yeah, a lot of the problem with the "balanced" maps is the high chance of spawning in a terrible position for zerg. Take metal for example, its a balanced map on cross positions, but a horrible map if you get close positions.

Those positions have been slightly Terran favoured recently (Jinro said it himself during his GSL interview) but IdrA managed to beat MvP in those positions..

Also - I don't know if I can agree with IdrA's list of reasons (excuses, if you will). As far as I'm aware, the comp schedule was followed in his game, pushing backdoor (or any part of any map) isn't really "abusive" more so a tactical decision. Map-pool is for tourney admins to decide, and living in S.Korea and signing up for American comps, you surely realize that you will have to play out of your native server.

Dont take the illusion away from him, he wants to believe he beat you in a fair game. Beating you in is one of the few accomplishments root has.

"I lost because it was middle of the night!" "I lost because the map I once claimed was the best map in the pool is now incredibly imbalanced for zerg!" "I lost because I had lag issues!" It's like some people are still on the level of an 8-year old. When Jinro lost to SelecT he said he had lag issues, but that in the end his opponent just played well. I think the world will end as soon as IdrA admits that he lost a game because his opponent played well.

I do feel that I had an advantage the whole game, IdrA could have easily stopped my harass at the start ( the bunker is not hard to stop, just have a drone follow the scv, and I go 1 rax FE into blue flame pretty much every TvZ so IdrA should have expected it and prepared a bit better defense, even though it didn't really do a ton of damage ) but the map is pretty imbalanced and there is not much that Z can do in that situation. Hopefully next time we play, it will be on even grounds and we can have a better game. Wow, your sir are too manner ![]()

Was one of the factors but Drewbie outplayed IdrA throughout the whole game. Insulting a whole team just because they played better than your favourite player, nice.

What's the difference between: "It was very laggy" and "It was very laggy but my opponent played well nevertheless". Let me help you: Both are complaints. One is in disguise (aka "well mannered" *sigh*). (Calling other's immature after a post like that is btw the icing on the cake. )

All of the Terrans abuse that back-door push and as we've seen from both Nestea and Idra's games it's incredibly difficult to stop. Yeah Shakuras is a good map, but the fact that 'the best map in the pool' has this lame back-door push is just a sentiment to how bad the maps are in the current situation. I've got nothing against drewbie, but there's no way he can beat Idra given fair conditions.
