I dont get all the boxer nuthugging. He didn't play exceptionally well in these games. His macro slipped and waited until zerg was on 3base to do any sort of constriction(cliffing on game 1 and hellions in game 2.

I honestly hope he was jetlagged. We need boxer to make the Ro8 or better in GSL for SC2 to pick up momentum in korea.

Very epic games. Was really really impressed by Boxer's play. It's obvious that he'll be competing for top spot in the near future.

very very good games from both players. boxer is so far defo one of the very top terran atm. game2 showed exactly how sc2 has evolved from sc, the position and micros in battles are so AWESOME.

zerg op my a**. watch the games and tell me boxer didnt impress you. boxer was forced to not expo lol and we all know boxer is not reall a big macro machine.

totally worty enough for staying up all night for this^^ GG!

are you serious? yes he played very well until he got down the golden exp

after he got gold base, he just a-moved all units without gathering them.

2 thors were hunting overlords behind. 4 hellions went too early died.

tanks and marines werent together so fruit was able to bust them before they got siege mode.

that attack was the biggest reason for boxer loss.

a lot of what you said is completely wrong. the hellions didnt go too early and die, they went out ahead to scout, shot one round at the roaches, and retreated back to the tanks....even if the tanks and rines had been together fruitdealer would still have been able to do the same thing successfully. also, you can say the same thing about fruitdealer, that he would have slaughtered that push had he attacked earlier before boxer sieged up that close to his expo, or attacked slightly later, or had a different army comp. boxer's play was nearly flawless, and cool still dominated most of the game. and regardless, its impossible to do anything as terran after a push is over because if you do he'll just counter with lings and roaches, which it is now impossible to stop.

Boxer played well enough to win G2, except for that failed attack with 10 marines and 5 tanks. It might have worked if he didn't try to siege up right on top of the roaches.... Un-sieged tanks do so much damage to roaches it's not even funny (especially when they are 2-2 like Boxer's were).

Just one siege up lost him the game.... I'm expecting him to get to the semis or the finals of GSL. He's really really improved since those early replays of him playing TLO and Idra.

I really don't wanna get into a balance argument, but lategame zerg macro is just superior to both T and Z. The macro gets seriously out of control.

And on the flipside Zerg early game is really fragile. It's imbalanced in both directions, and I don't even know if it's possible to change that. Zerg macro just works like that, every new expo is an entire base's worth of production. Maybe it's not inherently a bad thing that Zerg needs to be contained aggressively earlier on. Asymmetry is what makes Starcraft, imo.

Man Boxer might have lost, but have you noticed his skill skyrocketing up each new match we see? It's pretty incredible.

Fruitdealer looks pretty much unstoppable at this point though. GSL is going to be really interesting if these two meet up again.
I cast, therefore I am.

Maybe if Terran players don't let their Zerg opponent mine out the gold as their first expo, they might have a better chance...

That Boxer FruitDealer game!!! what a great series of games!! really intense macro by Boxer, makes wanting to switch back to T!! but really great unit composision by Cool
With an average game length of 7m36s over his 6 games in GSL3, this is a no-brainer. BitByBit pulls more SCVs than yo momma at a club on Mar Sara. ♞

It would be great if Boxer and Fruit would practice together or join the same team. I think they could both improve their play together.

These Terran trolls are so annoying, are you gonna complain that PvT is horribly imbalanced too if Boxer loses to his P opponent in Ro32?

just remember a few months ago. when we said it was too much in favour of T.

remember what terran players said everywhere?

they said l2p zerg is fine

so i will say to all you terran players.

l2p terran is fine.

So you admit it is the same situation and Zerg is imba? lol

I am not saying something is IMBA, someone compared the situation from a few months ago when Therran was imba and Terran players were telling zergs to l2p...arr .read the post :p Was funny that's all.

Well played by both players. Really show that Korean SC2 is already a big step ahead of foreigners. But its too easy for Zerg to expands now, Terran have nothing to stop them early on, and thats need some fixing.
Terran players need to play a perfect game in order to win while Zerg players just need to play good and can get away with a fews mistake in the process.

If you think comparing boxer and fruitdealer to all koreans is any kind of right, you clearly haven't been watching GSL for the past week. Boxer/fruitdealer games were awesome, fun to watch and clearly between two very very skilled professional players, not something I can say about 75% of the games in ro64 GSL, which is composed of nearly all Koreans.

Was it normal in BW to watch zerg massively takeover the map and still force terran to play very turtle like?

Yes it was very normal in fact. Terran turtled alot harder in BW.

...

uh no?

terran only turtled with certain mech variants. all other strats were extremely aggressive.
