In a Split map scenario, TvZ in encountered zerg heavy Air. Mass corruptor and some broodlords. It was a pretty passive game. I went mech on 4 bases and zerg got his 4-5 bases count corruptor only with 4-5 broodlords.
My army: Tanks (and later Thors) + Vikings His army 15-40 Corruptors and 2-5 Broodlords.
His ability: Run to any of my bases, press the corruptor barf button and kill it, run away. The ground army was figthing Broodlings and the Vikings died to ever more Corruptors due to his advantage of mining. He did not ever used Fungal or Vipers...because he did not need to. His trades were more effcient.
15 Corruptos kill a PF +armor even when counter repaired. T_T
Thors do no critical damage against Corruptors, Thors do no damage against Broodlords. Viikings move and shoot so slow they don't save a PF either. They kill 1-3 Corruptors. Thats it. Liberators well...hrmm they died instantly thanks to nerf doing nothing.

Come on, at least try to formulate a question and make a proper post with a replay.
|
thors do no damage against broodlords Wrong the new thor is really good against broodlords. If he had only 2-5 broodlords you should be able to easily kill them with thors, even 10-15 broodlords can be beaten with thors. Also the counter to corruptor piss is building turrets.

Ty! I noticed it when I watched the replays. Sometimes I sent reaper to scout and his probe started to build pylons on my base. But sometimes, protoss started to build it so early. I will send a replay later, because my game is upgrading right now.

Protoss sent the scout probe early, then he came into my base and started to create pylons randomly. I needed to put my SCV out minerals (6 by pylon) because some maps are too close by air, and they send MSC to make pylons shot. When he notice that some pylon will be done, he just cancel it over and over again, so I need to leave mining and at some moment, he cancel all pylons that is being warping. So, even if he didn't attacked me with MSC, he will be still ahead.

Maybe a dumb question, but is there a shortcut to activate or deactivate the autocast on the cyclone?
It's extremly tedious and dangerous to do it by right clicking on the lock icon i feel

It's extremly tedious and dangerous to do it by right clicking on the lock icon i feel I'm pretty sure selecting all units of the same type and then using Alt + the ability hotkey enables/disables autocast where it's available. Like, Alt + R enables auto-repair on selected SCVs.
|
Eurk that's impractical as hell i fucking despise using alt... Is there any way to change that? Like to set i dunno ctrl instead of alt? I've been looking through the shortcut and i don't see any mention of it

Hey guys, lately in tvz there is a 2 medivac timing with full of marines which is really strong. I can't find the build order of it, does anyone know where can i find it?
|
I think byun did it at SSL this morning against Impact. Dunno if that helps, but if you happen to be able to watch the vods you might be able to have a look at his build
|
Yeah he did that vs Rogue, found the vod thanks
|
Oh yeah rogue that's right

Excuse the late answer I didn't check the thread. I never played vs someone who did this but I don't think you should pull scvs to kill his pylons. Just make a bunker next to them and maybe a 2nd rax and try to gun down the pylons with marines. If he activates overcharge just retreat until it's over. The msc doesn't have unlimited energy.

Hi, I watched your game and here is my lil advice, hope it will help.
The probe arrives in your base at 0:50, its way too early and it screams canon rush!So set your mindset into defense mode, so chase that probe already! When the probe drop the pylon you also do not react accordingly!
-Regarding this specific game, and the pylon placement you should have: 1) block the ramp with a supply depot, no need to finish it now, use the scv to make sure nothing is behind build in front of your closed wall. 2) send scv to kill the pylon before it finish (don't take your second gaz) 3) chase and kill the locked probe. (might need your first marine to kill it)

Here is the replay: http://ggtracker.com/matches/6694047
I can't watch it anymore. The game crushes when I try to watch it, because it's an old version.

thank you wjat
another question. how do i scout that a roach ravager speedling attack is comming? Even if i scout a roach warren i never know if it is set offensively or defensivly. Also the speedlings kill my reaper, so in most cases i cant even scout it rly, nor if there is a 3rd base, and even if there is a 3rd, it could also just be for larva

scout his gas and third timing
|
and how do i then preciely know when and that it is comming and nothing else?

When playing with zerg, how to defend the zerglings/banelings rush or roach rush? It is really hard to scout, and determine if the zerg decides to rush you. Especially you opens with hellions, you need a pretty good skill to stop zerglings/banelings rush, and no way to block a roach rush.
For scouting: Open reaper expand, also scv scout if you're afraid of gas/pool before hatch builds on 2player maps. It's important that your reaper scouts the gas, 3 drones on gas after 100 gas is mined means some kind of tech build is coming. Keep your reaper active on the Zerg's side of the maps, pay attention to his natural's drone count. I don't know your league, but at higher levels counting the drones on the natural @100 gas mined is important, if he's mining with 3-4 drones it means he pulled off gas. If you know he has mined a lot of gas, suicide the reaper into one base if need be and scan the base that the reaper didn't see. You will see his gas count and wether he's getting a lair or not, that's basically all the information you need. It all comes down to being active with the reaper.
