Lol i know soo many builds for pvz and it's still the mu that i have feel hopeless when i play a good zerg player. | ||

Learn some 1 gate expand builds, they make me much more comfortable vs Zerg. I feel a lo less helpless when I'm forcing hard reactions out of them (the alternative is the Zerg auto-losing to a 4 Gate if they go 3 Hatch gasless). I abuse the meta slightly and go Gate Nexus (17) Pylon Assim Core. (2 Zealots before Stalker, one Chrono). It's safe vs any Pool after 9 (as in you will come out ahead if you play it right). It's eco is as good as FFE with Forge first ![]() | ||

It's just a basic 3 gate stargate that hits a 6min timing with 5 stalkers and a voidray. If they didn't expand or are on a gas you can usually just break their ramp and flat out win. The other 80% of your games against 1 rax fe if he mass repairs the natural bunker, on some maps you can build a pylon at the edge of his main and just pick him apart with multi-pronged micro using voidrays for sight. Without scouting the gas or a direct scan on the double geysers/natural at the appropriate time it's really hard to scout. Fun build with tons of room for creativity. | ||

When playing PvT i like to 13 scout primarily because if they do a normal wall of timing I can get in and out of there base to scout for gas'. Sometimes a Terran will start a supply depot which does cost them a little amount of money, but it denies me from scouting. Now this posed many problems when developing my build through to the mid game. I have no clue if this is a normal 1 rax expand or 2 port banshee. Is there a strong build that is very easily adopted while just doing a normal 1 gate expand? Another problem with my own solution to this is that the person could be 2 rax pressure or 1-1-1 so how would i prepare for both. What is the regular timing for the first banshee to arrive at my base? Any input Could really help my situation | ||

His first Marine should pop out at about 3:07, while the second should be done at 3:32. Poking in between those two timings should show you wether there's a low ground cc, and most importantly wether he's starting and add-on on his rax. If you can't find anything with your probe, poke with your first zealot and stalker to get more info (regarding the specific info you are looking for, there's plenty of threads on TL). | ||

It kinda depends though. At lower levels some people's builds aren't as optimized, so you might missread simply because his opening isn't optimal. | ||

What is the best way to defend a 10 gate 2 zealot 1 stalker pressure into 3 or 4 gates? In these situations, I use to make a zealot before the core finish and, asap, make a sentry and add one more gate. Then I use one chrono in warp gate research and the rest in gates, making sentry and zea. If u want a vod: http://pt-br.twitch.tv/avengerstv/b/350026295 The game starts at 2:23:49. And what is the best transition? ty guys (: Here is a replay of 3 stalker rush vs. the same build by the same opponent. However, I don't think this was the best response (it was also executed very poorly by me). It's better to cancel second gas, get a zealot, and start a second gate asap. In other words, a three stalker rush with an initial zealot. The most important thing is to prevent a pylon from going up on your ramp, so having 4 units so early allows you to bully his zealots and deny the probe. You should be able to stop it with just 2 gates, but if something goes wrong, start a third gate before CB research gets to 90 seconds. I did the basic build vs. an AI and uploaded it here. It might also be possible to defend with sentries but the margin for error would be very thin. I personally don't use sentry builds so someone else would have to help you with that. As for a transition, I find that most super-fast 3 gate users transition into robo, so I prefer stargate. Good luck! | ||
