Never heard of this problem. Try repairing your game, maybe reinstall keyboard drivers, check that cable isn't damaged/loose. You can also try with another cheap keyboard to see if its a hardware or software problem


It's happened to me on multiple computers, so I think it's just a misclick (also I have heard others mention this so I don't doubt my sanity either).

My keyboard sometimes stops responding when I alt tab while the game is loading. The alt key gets stuck somehow, and I can't do anything. You can check this by pressing enter, and it'll open up a private chat with your opponent instead of the normal all chat if the alt key is stuck. To fix it just press alt again.

This may be what is happening to you?

Hello, for incoming season I want to make some analysis and research on new maps (attack paths, overlord positioning etc.) is there any tools that could possibly help me? Or any thread on TL about this because I can't find any?

edit: about overlord positioning, i think it'll better to read a guide like this one ( http://eu.battle.net/sc2/en/forum/topic/7256646014 ) in order to understand where you're supposed to place overlord according to MU because u dont really need a tool to know where to place them.

hi guys,

say i open nexus first when i scout his hatch first. then i scout he actually went even third before pool:

can i simply be as greedy and play a very fast third (i.e. gateway then forge then nexus) or is it a must that i give him some sort of aggression? (like late cannon rush or late gateway push (maybe zealot + core + stalker).

gas timing(=speed/roach timing) is the intel u must see in order to know what kind of agression you must do.
Zerg with 3 hatch and when he'll have 3 queens can easly outmacro you. He'll able to push your third very quickly and it will be very hard to defend.
A late cannon rush will delay your gate/core too much. Zealot core stalker is a good push but weak. good for scout and to force some units. You could follow by a 4-5 gateway pressure because you're still behind if you didnt do dmg with ZCS. and you finish him with a blink/immo/+3 push.

So you say, that he will outmacro me even if I take a third almost as early a he himself?

My plan would be to go for early void ray and wall off both: the natural and the third with gateways and cannons. I think he cannot do enough damage with speedlings then. I am just not sure if I am in time vs roaches. after i hold the first poke I would probably add high templar and feel in a great spot even if he had 4-5 bases by then. is it just that i am to late for roaches?


@late cannon rush: did i get this well that you think that even if i can destroy both expansions, i will be too late in tech and die to his one base counter attack?

It's Q/A^^ not PvZ tutorial Zerg will always outmacro you even if you take same number of bases. If u take third quickly, zerg will probably go for 4th. If you go canon rush that late, zerg can easly defend or just let it die to kill you with tech(ex:fastlair into roach speed).

@Treterpeter: the problem is that the Zerg can saturate the 3 bases with incredible speed unlike you if left completely to his devices, so even if you take a third, there will be always a big window when he has so much more income than you do. That's the reason why you want to show at least something in his face to slow that down, if you play the greed game, you always lose in it. In my opinion, another viable opinion is a very fast stargate after the nexus first.

that's what i am asking for: is such tech fast enough or are you forced to do some even faster stuff?

with stargate you probably mean a fast oracle or would 4 phenix be an option, too?

anyways, right after the stargate you have minerals for a third and this is still super fast (around minute 6)

whats the best way to gather up your army? people keep telling me f2 is a bad habit to use and i agree. often i end up pulling back scouting marines and multi que'd drops. i imagine its the same issue with protoss and zerg since it would pull select observers and scouting lings and tumor queens

what do you mean exactly? like the best way to regroup if you're being pushed and you need to suddenly fight with everything?

generally i don't move around large chunks of army without putting them on a control group... like if i have 4 roaches or 15 lings doing a runby at the third base i usually have them on 2, main army on 1 and if i have air units or casters i'll have them on 3 or 5. any large chunk of army is hotkeyed. i'm not sure what answer you're looking for. you either control group, f2, or move your screen and do it manually, whichever the situation calls for. i think the best answer is just hotkey things? like why not?

e: since you're terran maybe you mean grouping units that are rallying out of your barracks? zerg doesn't have this issue because you just hotkey eggs. for terran if just moving the screen manually doesn't work for you then you can just put a location hotkey on either your production or your rally point

First, kill the hotkey habit dies hard so it's safer to remove this hotkey NOW!!! Even if you dont know how you'll fix it
After that, you'll able to feel what's the way for you to hotkey your army(without this f2 hotkey, it'll easier to spot where the issue is). Also with Terran it's a lot about where you rally : just below main army(push), at the naga(scout/harass) or even at natural(def). That's why there is no best way, it's according to the situation.
brickrd idea seems good. All my prod buidlings are in the same group after midgame. it's 3 and army is 4. I first move army then switch to 3 to assign rally point to where my army was. I think it's a bad habit, too much APM not very usefull but it's a solution that i like at my level^^
