I apologise if there is an answer to this question. But I've done my best to search the forum on this.

My question is: Is there a way to deselect a type of units without manually shift clicking on each unit of that type selected?

For example: I selected 20 larvae and made 10 muta eggs, is there a way for me to quickly deselect the 10 larvae and quickly set my eggs into a control group?

To select all of one unit type in a control group hold control and click the portrait of one of the desired unit.
to deselect, hold shift and control and click desired unit.

Take note that this will not differentiate between eggs, so you can't just control click muta eggs and expect them to not select zergling eggs for instance.

When using sc2gears, should I set it to convert game-time to real-time? I'm guessing that real-time would give me a more accurate representation of my APM, but if I set it to convert it to real-time, my APM increases by about 25 and I don't understand that :/ ...

Real minutes are longer than in-game minutes, so naturally your APM goes up using real minutes.

There is a key shortcut I have no idea what it is but when I do it my keyboard goes into Chinese only within SC2, or locks up completely and I can't type. What do I have to press to get it out of that mode?

Has anyone ever seen the message "left" in their match history?http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/profile/344238/1/kanada/matches

only thing i can think of is that it has something to do with someone pausing the game before leaving (heard of that before) or if the games is still going on? (it's been days)

ZvP on Tal'darim, opponent goes blink stalker+observer off FFE with about 50 probes (I think it was a 7 gate) and attacks the natural by blinking up and down from the low ground using observer for vision. How should I deal with this?

I had three bases plus a macro hatch, about 50 drones, a few spines near the ramp, and a roach/ling army that was larger than my opponent's army. It seemed like a decent position to be in, but I just got shredded with blink micro. Part of the problem may have been that I tried to run around and engage on the low ground - should I just camp on the high ground and defend while trying to get infestors out?

If this isn't a simple question let me know and I can post a replay.

Sorry about the noob question, but when I go for a FFE v Zerg, the build order usually goes like this:

9 pylon
13 forge
17 nexus
17 cannon
17 gateway

Where do I squeeze in a 2nd pylon so I don't get supply blocked? Because if I'm cutting probes to throw up a nexus and 2 buildings by 17, I'd like to resume probe production as soon as possible (since this is an economic build), but I can't do that without getting immediately supply blocked at 18. Do people usually continue to cut probes until they have 100 minerals for the 2nd pylon? Or is there something I'm missing here?

The FFE variation I'm doing right now is from Genius v DRG on Bel'Shir Beach from Group F of the current GSL's RO32:

14 Forge @2:10
17 Nexus @3:03
17 Cannon
17 Pylon
17 Gateway
18 Assimilator x 2

So you cut Probes until you get the GW up, and squeeze the Pylon inbetween there. As with all FFE builds, you can rearrange the timings of the buildings depending on what you scout, so if you scout a Pool timing that makes it safe, you can delay the cannon and get the pylon faster to get a couple extra Probes.

Is there any way to watch again the NASTL Qualifiers? I wanna see some games played by infinity Seven's CrazymovING, but then I couldn't find any info on the VODs in the liquipedia or the LR thread.

Not everyone does. I think the only advantage of a depot wall is that it prevents your opponent from seeing your addon by poking at the ramp.

Also, units can enter and exit a 3-depot ramp more quickly than a depot-rax-depot wall, since you can lower all three elements of the wall easily and walk over it.

I've recently switched to terran race. Gold atm, hopefully will advance to platinum soon.

The question i have is this:
I need some macro milestones in tvz and tvp matchups to realise if i am getting any better or not.

For instance, i've lost a game against zerg because of bad army micro and lack of upgrades. But in the end i attacked at 182 supply while the zerg was 196 supply. Does that mean that my macro was on par with him and good enough for that match ? Again, micro aside (which i don't care much for atm), and forgetting upgrades (only had 1-1 on infantry, and i am working on that). I was 3 bases against 4 (then i lost one to a counterattack).

Also, in tvp, should i generally be ahead in bases/supply or anything related to asses my macro while watching replays works.

"Flower of death"? Do you mean Drone stacking to get through a Pylon walloff? If so, yes, it still works. Otherwise I have no idea what you're talking about.

Is probably alt+shift
to solve the problem, altshift until its english, then go to control panel>clock/language/regions>change display language> click the keyboards and languages tab>click change keyboard>advanced key settings tab>select "between input languages"> click change key sequence>make them all unassigned.

and you should turn off sticky keys
