![]() Trying to make a new style 3 player map with a choice of naturals. Thoughts? (starting bases are counter-clockwise, with a backdoor path to a free 6 min/1 gas base.) map is 184x184, so pretty huge, though it is 3 player with air-blockers planned. Edit- Also, this WIP ![]() 128x128 | ||

![]() edit: i like the layout 2 posts up. incidence looks like it'll work decently in sc2, if you're ok with having an easier than normal 3 base layout. i don't think tar basin will work too well in its current configuration. first of all the rocks at the nat make the 3rd much harder for z than for t/p, although this can be fixed by moving them to the ramp in front of the 3rd (again, if you're ok with making the 3rd easier). also the map in general is very small, which isn't always a problem, but on a reflectionally symmetrical map like this, the bases get extremely close in the late game. overall i think this layout could possibly work but you should definitely expand it a little. having the mains so close might be broken, but afaik this hasn't been really tested since the scrap station/metalopolis era, so who knows? maybe add some in-main watchtowers to allow better preparation for drops? | ||

Cross spawns would result in little army engagements, while vertical and horizontal would also be pretty stale and straight forward. I also don't think the the 3rd base setup will work like it did in Crusader, which was my favorite map of yours. | ||
