Edit: Kabel, can you send the MOD file to decemberscalm and have him patch whatever you are thinking is necceacry to fix the reaper and maybe tempest? If it is only number fixes or dependency on tech lab, it should not be too complicated. Then he can also upload in NA, since it's only new patch in EU atm.

Well, if I texture on half in lava and the other in green or something, maybe it is not so apaparent. I'll see what I can do. I like the map, but it is not the same without the swastika.... I could rotate it 45 deg (lol).

Here is what I wrote, in case someone is curious: + Show Spoiler + Hello. Today my account got suspended because I have a map uploaded called Snipers Ridge. It is an identical remake of an old popular BW map with the same name and layout. You can watch the original here: http://www.teamliquid.net/tlpd/korean/maps/508_Sniper Ridge I did not mean to express anything racial with this, nor did I intend to be hateful versus other ethnic groups or nationalities. It was just an old classic map I uploaded for me and my friends to play Starcraft on. I would appreciate if my penalty can be removed, so I can get back on battle.net and play again. If this can not be changed, can you atleast do me an other favor? Please remove all uploaded maps and MOD-files on my account. I am working on a map project together with some other players, and since I am the uploader, no additional patches, updates or maps can be uploaded. (Since my account is locked.) If the content is removed, then someone else in our mapping group can become the uploader instead, and thereby upload the latest updates for our project. In this way, my suspension will atleast not affect all other players who enjoy to play on the maps we create. Thank you. Here is their quick reply: + Show Spoiler + Hey Sorry I was not able to chat online with you about this account action Following a review of your case, I can confirm that the evidence presented was correct, and that the subsequent action taken was appropriate. Our decision in this matter stands, and will not be overturned. Please note, it is our policy never to reveal details regarding account investigations, beyond the information given in the original notice mail, for privacy and security reasons. We now consider this matter closed, and would not look to enter into further communication on the matter. I hope this has been helpful, and should you ever need help in future, feel free to make another ticket and I will do my best to be the one that replies ![]() Regards, Korethind English Game Master Team Blizzard Europe This sucks quite hard. Especially because Starbow is stuck at a bad broken patch atm, and I can not do anything about it. Ok, my account is only locked for seven days from now. But it still feels really shitty.. ![]()

Possible changes: Terran Marine Reaper - See notes below Medic Ghost Vulture - See notes below Tank Goliath Viking - See notes below Dropship Banshee Vessel BC "Notes below" ^^ >>>+ Show Spoiler + Reaper requires tech lab again. A flame thrower standard attack can be upgraded. (Requires factory and costs maybe 150/150) This gives the Reaper an additional role in the midgame, AND as a part of the army. The flame attack will probably be mostly useful vs Zerg. If the Reaper manages to get into mineral lines, it might be a strong harassing unit vs P and T too. I consider to also make it NOT attacked by Spider mines. This makes it even more viable in TvT. Ps. The flame attack shall NOT be too insane in terms of damage and splash. The Vulture is brought back into the game. It has Spider mines as normal. The reason for this is that the Hellion + Spider mines is a broken concept. Or rather, it will be very hard to balance. Assuming from the PMs I¨ve gotten, it is a nightmare atm. The Hellion is an extremely strong harassing unit that can win the game early. It is superior vs both armored and light units via the Spider mines and the flame attack. Ps. I actually like the Hellion. But I have nowhere to place the Spider mines, except for the Vulture : / Viking gets a small splash attack from start. The missiles will make an explosion upon impact that damages clumped up air units. This will make even few Vikings able to fight vs hordes of Mutalisks. Maybe I add an upgrade that increases the splash a bit more. The Viking will remain it's damage vs armored. So it is not a hard counter vs Mutalisks or Corsairs. This will just make Vikings a bit more viable and useful early for Terran. Scourge - I consider to give it an area of effect attack. This will help to further seperate air units from each other. Atm mutalisk balls vs mutalisk balls are kinda boring to both play with and to observe. Same as in BW. Everything is so tightly packed that it is hard to determine what is going on. Scourges just fly into mutaballs and "nothing" seems to happen. By forcing seperation of air units will sky battles hopefully become more interesting. This will require some adjustment to their stats aswell. Maybe full damage towards the target, and then smaller damage in a splash area? Pathing - I do agree on much of the criticism raised by Hider. But I also agree on some of the advantages with it. I will keep it for a little longer while and then evaluate it in the near future. (When more games have been played with it.) This is just speculations atm and has NOT been added to the game. Thoughts on this? As you might realize, Terran concerns me quite hard. I am not found of the BW line-up of units either. And so far none of my line-ups have felt great. So I guess I just continue the struggle : /

I do agree on much of the criticism raised by Hider. But I also agree on some of the advantages with it. I will keep it for a little longer while and then evaluate it in the near future. (When more games have been played with it.) I think the correct approach is for you to make a small survey (if performed by me or anyone else there will likely be biased involved) consistent of the potential target group (the criterias I outlined in a previous post). Because there is no doubt that most of the current Starbow players like the pathing, however over the longer haul Starbow needs to attract Sc2 players (so further feedback from the current Starbow players isn't really relevant IMO). I guess once your account gets activated again you could ask 10-20 of those type of players to play Starbow in order to get some feedback on the pathing. A shame the hellion with mine thing didn't work - That would have been in an awesome way of taking the best parts from 2 well designed units (did it just kill light units too quickly or?) Did you remove healing regeneration on reaper? (which I guess kinda would make reaper openings oboselte).

The problem with reaper scaling is that they easily get outpaced by marine drops. They will literally destroy everything in your base in a pretty quick fashion if left alone. They have zero utility during real fights because their hp isn't even close to being able to buffer like vultures or fire bats can. Perhaps I'm wrong but it seems they'd still be useful early game, but no one would bother after that even with the fire upgrade. Unless that fire upgrade is old school SB firebat strong with stim. I don't want that in my worker line. That should really require drops to do. I think the reaper already serves its purpose well. Starts the action at the start of the game. @Vulture If you really like the hellion, why not put spider mines as build-able for the scv? Terran has scv drop, so we see turrets in the middle of the map way more often than not, why not spider mines? With a relatively quick build time and low mineral cost, not to mention you have vulnerable mine builders, we could see some pretty good use out of them. Perhaps that might be too imba for terran defence. Any expo is extremely easy to litter with mines. Another way is to bring the widow mine. That unit is not to shabby. It is more positional, so it doesn't quite supplement mech like spider mines do. More so it helps out fast pushes. The vulture is already a proven, very exciting unit, so that decision absolutely isn't wrong if we can't think of anything. @Scourge Why not make it a baneling of the sky? Mutas can always run or shoot down small numbers of them first. ZvZ shouldn't actually be just muta vs muta. Air wars is nowhere near as interesting as battles taking place utilizing terrain, plus air support. Whenever you buffed hydras before, hydras were an actually valid option. The only problem with hydras was that it was literally hydra deathball vs hydra deathball because they killed everything in the z arsenal. Lurkers didn't make the game more positional because hydras have just enough range, you've really only got 1 hydra getting hurt at a time. ZvZ seems like a necessary evil for making other matchups awesome. Perhaps buffing spores vs biological could help out, but even then, ZvZ won't be that much more interesting than muta wars.

I don't see why it is neccasary. Upgrades should matter. Upgrades should take time. The fact that you couldn't just irradiate right out of the starport made BW ZvT really interesting in the early to mid game.Sure, a valkyrie had the splash but that was its primate use. Enough things counter mutas from the Terran arsenal as it is. Make the Terran player focus his resources on vikings if he needs them to supplement his anti muta.

I think it is too early to say how this will work. I am mostly just concerned about how this will work at harassing;
