We need to find a way to show the ranking of the player ! that the only way this mod will become popular. Like a web site like ICCUP. But still dont know?

It would be greath if sc2bw could become popular like DOTA was in warcraft3.

True, but it is more likely for that sort of player to wonder if there is a SC2 mode than for a BW player to wonder if there is a BW mode, just because it is on the SC2 engine. I do not think we want to lose any players just because they do not think they can play it just like BW.
Tons of people accidentally click "Join" and then it defaults to SC2 mode, and then they have to restart to make it BW mode. Plenty of other people accidentally start when they want BW mode. Vast majority of people (i.e. all) I have spectated or played want BW mode.

It would not be streamlined, but the easiest way for someone to make such a thing would be to make it like so:

Two people play a match.
Winner uploads the replay onto the website.
Website analyses winner from the replay file. (i.e. it is possible, see Playhem)
Website keeps track of winrate/statistics/etc.
As more players/games are in the database, it creates ratings for each player.

Why publish v. 1.0? Does every new version reset the map's popularity?

Map was well on its way to break into the top 2 pages of most popular maps (all blizzard maps...).

He had to re-upload the whole mod/map under a different name in order for the changes to stick. Each time he did it before today with using the original name, the changes were not sticking. Blizzard has silly policies in deleting/changing maps. See Maverck's previous post.

Friendly note to all: Be sure to "Create" and not "Join", so you can set either BW or SC2 mode (3 customisable settings).

It should be already uploaded on EU. Best way to check is to create a game as Zerg and keep making drones even past 9/9 (do not make overlord). If there is a frozen larva on the attempted 10th, then it is not the latest version. I do not know how it is organised on the EU server, but you may have to look around several spots for the most up to date version.

On NA, the only updated one is "SC2BW || Fighting Spirit ||" under Custom Games; the one under Arcade is still not patched correctly. Please make sure to "Create" instead of "Join", so you may set either BW or SC2 gameplay mode in the lobby.

i've updated all the maps, they should all work correctly.

the problem i'm having right now is i publish a map, blizzard's server checks my map against the one on their server and finds all the changes. it ONLY uploads the changes, not the entire file.

somewhere along the line, i've uploaded a version that fixed alot of these bugs, but blizzard's server has missed it, it thinks it already has those changes but it doesn't, so it never uploads them. i had to re-upload under a new name to refresh the map completely. it sucks, but i didn't see any other solution.

Hi, seems like the EU Blizz-Servers are not optimal working at the moment. When you try to create a game it cancel, but when you try open the map 5-10 times it works.

Can you make grouping buildings together a possible option? And can u make probe and pylon hotkey E an option?? PLEASE? I love playing the map, but I don't want it to affect my sc2 hotkey.

So what should I look for on EU server?
I found fighting spirit map yesterday but it said it was v1.12
Also it lets you build more then 9 drones before needing to build overlords.

There are also other sc2bw maps. What are those?

Awesome remake of SC:BW mechanics, only 2 issues:

1. Vespene Geysers never run out. After the 5k initially is drained, the counter loop reiterates negatively from 99999.

2. I used a DA to MC an scv and have it build a CC. In original BW, probes cannot harvest minerals and return to a CC you built, only to a Nexus

Other than that, it's pretty spot on =)

Both of those are actually correct. Notice that after the initial amount is drained, only 2 gas is brought back from the geyser, as with depleted geysers in BW. And in BW you can return resources to any main structure you control.
