Hi TL-ers. Watching streams of many pro players i noticed that in each of their ladder maches they have ALWAYS GREEN COLOR and opposite alwas RED.

Is there an option to have this or is it just for GM? (or is it a mod)?

This should be in the regular simple questions qimple ansers, but you should be able to click team colors right next to your minimap in game, to toggle it.
P.S. I'm nub. If you'd like you can follow me @xthurst but its not worth it ill be honest

When you are in a game, press alt + F. If you want to toggle it back, press it again.


My question relates to upgrades. What are the specifc values upgrades give? For example, If i get vehicle 1 from the armory, it just says "increases the attack..." not the actual amount. Thanks!

How do I make an event trigger off clicking on a doodad? I want to make a gate open when the player clicks on it, and simultaneously trigger another gate to close (both renaining unclickable for the rest of the scenario). How about making something trigger from a double click?

I'd think you'd need to do it with regions and bring a unit there but I'm not that well versed with triggers. You might consider looking in to the Automaton 2000 critter because it explodes from being clicked alone. I don't know if there's a way to apply that to what you want but it might be worth having a look if regions aren't an option.

Liquipedia is your friend. It varies from unit to unit but generally it's more or less +10% of their base dmg, with some units also getting +10% to their bonus dmg.

What's the point of creating minerals with different ranges from the command center / hatch / nexus? Shouldn't they all be the same?

If they are all the same you actually get an issue where the probes can't find a "good" patch and then they just bounce around, resulting in extremely low income and you get no benefit for having more than 2 workers per patch. This is seen on some patch layouts.

Typically, the game is designed to have some close and some far. It's the way they've been done for a long time in BW and SC2 was designed with maps that have this type of mineral formations.

A map I've been working on has these broken circle symbols on the minimap, and they disappear whenever a unit is in sight range. What are they?

How do you find Master gamers to test out your map ?

I think I got something pretty solid with the right amount of originality but most of my friends are platine or diams at best so I can't be really sure about that...

I'd like to get the esthetics done but I'd rather be sure about the general layout before I go further on that...

Getting this error when trying to run my map through the analyzer:

Warning: Unexpected format for MapInfo, map size appears to be (152364, 0).
No MapInfo file.

is this a common/known problem? if so how do i fix it? map analyzer works with other maps.

Can you post what the error message is? Note that the map you are trying to analyze must not be open in the editor when the anlyzer is run.

Ive gotten some problems with Sc2 editor. Instead of writing a wall of text I made a video explaining my problem:


As you can see the camera is acting up, cant figure out why. Has anybody here had this problem before and if so, how did you fix it?

Did you try to press ctrl+shift+c to go back to the normal camera angle?
