Go to the build ability for that building (e.g. SCV Build (SCV) for a starport) and double click the relevant field (Build 12 for Starport). Scroll down to Info - Button - Requirements and first find the selected requirement, highlight it and click the red cross just below to remove that requirement. Then highlight the requirement you want it to have (you can search through them with the field above). Click ok and the change will be made.

Hi,

Does anyone know what the racing map that I keep seeing Korean pros play? There are mineral patches on the track and whenever you get to one of them, you change units. The game can troll you and make you a photon cannon too. Also, is there a version of it on the NA server?

How can I remove the league standing frame above the search button in the multiplayer page?

Does MKP control group medivacs with MM especially in TvP?

MKP vs Parting it looks like the medivacs kept on going even when MKP was stutter stepping. Or maybe he control groups the medivacs with his army but when he stutter steps, he uses CTR+SHIFT+Left Click on Marines and Marauders quickly to select just them? (Or select MMM hotkey and ctr+select Medivacs to deselect them)

So I have a problem. Following this tutorial, I tried to create a custom texture for my map. Everything wnet fine and dandy, but I wasn't very happy with the result, so I decided to scratch that idea and continue on with standard textures.

However, whenever I try to paint with the new texture, that I have where my custom texture used to be, nothing happens. I have double checked the data to make sure that the texture has the right image file. It doesn't matter which texture I replace the old one with, the problem still remains.

Would it be possible to create a custom map, that saves the game when a player disconnects? Or 1 that lets you resume into a game from a replay file? Ive seen mods that allow save states in multiplayer, but those dont really solve the dropping problem, because you still have to manually save the game, right? Basically im asking if its possible to solve the disconnect-problems via custom maps. I hope this hasnt been discussed to death already, im dont really have any insights on sc2 modding

I'm looking for help about cliff custom texture.....i found not clues about that nowhere on the web..... If someone here is smart enough for give me clue about that: Im looking for help for MODIFY color texture and apply it on editor(apply cliff) of braxis alpha cliff and background. I give u a youtube video
look around 6:23......the braxis alpha cliff color original is yellow....... in this video the light and texture are blue (for the lights) and light blue for the cliff metal...and the planet background is blue too, can u explain me please how change background map(planet) color and change cliff texture please?

I really want to make a melee map for the MOTM contest but the only thing i cannot figure out how to do is lay down an image of the map design on a plane in the editor, basically as a template. I saw a tutorial on it somewhere and have looked for hours with no success. I have the image from Photoshop into the editor as a .DDS just need to know how to apply it.

Is there an easy way to make a map symmetric? Or do you have to redo everything yourself?

Also, what is the ratio of playable area to total area? Suppose I choose total area as 96x144, what will be the playable area?

Just have the image open and work freehand, you'll find yourself following less restrictions that way anyways...


for both Siwelcela and Demerzel: + Show Spoiler +
you can copy terrain by pressing T to bring you to the terrain node then hitting escape freeing your cursor from it's applied tool, drag the area you want to copy and hit ctrl C.

This will copy the terrain...
Ctrl V will give you the grid to where the terrain will be placed

when you paste you can rotate or mirror the terrain you copied before you lay it down.

as a quick referencing of how you would like the terrain to be set up use ctrl Z to delete the copy/pasted terrain and readjust on your next placement.

I havent worked with the editor in a bit but you can use comma and period ( , . ) to mirror and numpad forward slash or numpad star to rotate ( / * )

on the top of the window you have options (File/layers/Map) go to map<map boundaries... the visible line is where the players can go, the edge of the view is where your terrain will end. you can adjust these by checking/unchecking the boxes underneath the boundary image

How do you create your own texture set? And also, does this leave the map melee? Is there a guideline anywhere for melee maps?

Edit: Also, changing the skin of say a destructible rock -> is this considered melee?

though there have been examples of not melee type stuff in melee maps, for example one of prodig's maps had destructable watchtowers and there was another map with a self-destructing tower. Generally, if you leave the unit stats alone (like adding HP to marines or something), the map could be considered melee.

I wanted to just do a quick experiment and have 3 computer players build nothing but workers, supply and expansions. After sifting through the Trigger and Data menus for a good part of yesterday and today I am still unable to accomplish this simple goal. How do I instruct the AI to only build a certain set of stuff?
