Yes. It resets the camera but when I start scrolling in and out it goes back to being "slow"

What's the best resource for learning how to create triggers/program in Galaxy Editor? I have a very specific kind of unit testing map I'd like to make.
|
I'm having trouble creating victory conditions based on a leaderboard. I have a game where I want you to kill a specific unit 10 times and the first person to 10 kills claims the victory. I have the leaderboard set up just fine but I don't know how to use that for victory/defeat triggers. Can anyone help?
i should add that ive come across a number of people wondering this on google but the answers are almost always talking about wc3's world editor and i dont think the solutions work. im sure there are a million maps that use this idea though (TD, arena, etc) so im looking through a bunch now to find a good solution.
edit:
i have the answer. well, one answer anyway. instead of using the leaderboard, i created two separate integer variables based on the kills (which the leaderboard also counts). at the end of x time, i see which is higher/lower and assign victory based on that. if anyone wants to know specifics, id be glad to help them out. also, credit to this defunct soccer map which i took this solution from.

i've been learning recently. to be honest with you, my best resource has been google. i ask the question and it delivers answers. there are resources that keep coming up (sc2mapster, a few youtubers, thehelper.net) but the best way to find them is google. it's funny how many people have had exactly the same learning pains that i'm having. more often than not, someone will have taken the time to answer the question for their and your benefit.

Why are there broken circles on the minimap of one of my maps?

Where are the circles, can you post a screenshot? What type of map are you tying to create (melee, UMS)?

They are on top of LOS blockers, and then when you move into sight range the circles move to the XNT on the map. I'm trying to make a melee map

I've never heard of anything like that happening before... it would really help to see a picture of it.
If you haven't gotten too far into decorating, you could probably copy and paste all of the terrain into a newly created map file (if only one of your maps is glitching like this).

How/where do you edit how much XP a unit gives at death?
Mineral and Gas Pallets give around 600 resources when picked up. I'd like to edit that. How can I do that?

I'm trying to set the transparancy of a dialog. When I set it to 0 you can still see things behind it which is very distracting.
I know I am using the correct variables because when I set it to 100 the dialog becomes invisible. When I set it a values closer and closer to zero it gets more opaque but even AT zero it is still very much see through.
Anyone have any clues what could be going wrong? at my wits end

I am trying to make a man made cliff merge with a natural cliff, any idea on how to do it?

In the editor: Tools->brush->allow cliff merging. Use "cliff filler" doodads or similar to hide the gaps between the different type of cliff.

Is a nuke stronger at the center then it is at the edge of the blast radius? i know it deals 500 damage at the center, but does it deal 500 damage to something thats say 10 lengths away?

I wish people would use weather effects more on their maps. Dust, ash, sun rays, clouds, lightning and thunder, etc.

Hey guys! I've seen a custom map on Hero's stream lately (and on a few korean streams as well) and I'm looking for it's name. It's kind of a race where you have a new unit each time you reach a checkpoint (checkpoints are mineral patches). You can use spells and/or attack your opponents (each unit has specific spell/attack) and... that's it.
Anyone can help me?

Hello!
My question is for the TPW team. Can you guys possibly publish "Emerald Jungle" for the North American server again? I can't seem to find it anymore and I loved the asthetics. If you can't, no big deal, I just really enjoyed the map.
Thanks!

The background image for the dialog has transparency in the image file itself. The only way you can get rid of that transparency is to use a different background image that has no transparency. If you really want to use that specific image, you could extract it, remove the transprency, and import it as a custom image.
