And even if tank/gol wouldn't turn out to be great, you could also do tank/vult, tank/M&M or whatever... doesn't really matter, the imbalances are still there, as long as you get a few tanks. The other pro maps are all on the whole usually very balanced at first glance, but still may turn out to be imbalanced in certain matchups. Adding a map such as the original Hunters which already comes with a ton of potential problems can only end in disaster. I have played hunters much in 2v2, 3v3. Of course I am no progamer. Things are not as simple as they seem. A team starting at 11 and 12 can defend more easily, but at the same time heavily risks of being contained and losing map control. From my experience, teams turtling in this situations lose, as the 2v2 game on this map is too fast paced to counter this loss of map control and mobility with tech. The situation for starting positions 6, 7 is similar, though less bad as the team may turtle with 2 expos, instead of only one for 11/12. I would say, build order choice, timings, how to react depending on opponent behaviour etc. is simply quite a bit different to the typcial ramp-style maps currently popular in progaming. I think, as someone above said, progamers will be needed to determine the real imbalances of this map. Anyway I think chosing this map has some benefits, as it appeals to a broad community of hobby gamers.

Most hunters maps and variations have exactly the same cliff setup at all the corner bases. Therefore, the pictures are viable, and still seem to be viable from the current picture the Proleague is planning to use.

-they seem to be all very rotationally symmetrical though. -i'd like to see reverse temple or python instead of hunters, but hunters could be fun too. =) -andromeda and othello are too similar. a bit redundant, don't you think? bring back python/LT/reverse temple! -katrina could take a break... so imba

Looks like we could see some more dropship builds again too which is good.

The edited versions of hunters (at least the popular ones like Game-i and so on) have different cliffs than BGH, as does the version shown.

I am sad Troy has been dropped, but all the maps look like they have potential. I expect a lot from Andromeda and its walled drop zone. Given all the twists in those maps, I think clever players (especially Flash, who is both clever and creative) will rule. Too bad for the bland Terrans who cannot imagine a build order of their own (but I hate them, so it is cool imo). And I look forward to watching 2v2 on Hunters. Again, clever and creative teams will have an edge there.

Click on the pictures, we have the exact same pictures here. On March 26 2008 20:59 Uraeus wrote: If my memory is good, "Wuthering Heights" was a book by the Brontë sisters before being a movie. But who cares? I am sad Troy has been dropped, but all the maps look like they have potential. I expect a lot from Andromeda and its walled drop zone. Wuthering Heights is a Bronte sisters book, but this refers to the Korean film Wuthering Heights, so I'm not sure if it's the book from Bronte. Troy hasn't necessarily been dropped, these are the maps for the Proleague, not the OSL. I doubt the OSL would drop Troy so soon.
