Unfortunately I am currently having trouble uploading to stage6, so you will have to watch on youtube for the moment. When I resolve my problem, I'll be sure to include the stage6 video.
Overall Analysis:
Game 1: UpMagiC decided to go with a bionic build against JangBi. Unfortunately he did not make his push until Jangbi was able to get to High Templar and psi storms. The storms decimated the Marines while Zealots finished off the tanks that accompanied the assault. Jangbi was able to press his unit superiority and advance on UpMagic's base. UpMagic's build would have worked much better if he would have been able to force the offensive earlier. However, he was not able to move out soon enough, and when he did, Jangbi was ready for him. UpMagic's initial push failed, allowing Jangbi to take the advantage and to go on the offensive. From there Jangbi kept his lead and secured game one of the series.
Game 2: I am upset at UpMagic. Not because he loses this game, but because he played so poorly. There was no aggression from him as he allowed Jangbi to build as he pleased. The late game on Katrina is in favor of the Protoss player in this match-up; Carriers or Arbiters easily provide air superiority with all the ridges that they are able to maneuver around. UpMagic was able to take down the first several Carriers Jangbi threw at him, but was unable to force in any distraction to keep his opponent from continuing to produce more. Eventually Jangbi had enough Dragoon ground support for his Carriers to to easily take control of the game. Once a critical mass of Carriers is reached, Jangbi has no problem in taking a two game lead over UpMagic.
Game 3: Much like Katrina, Loki II is another map in which Carriers reign supreme over the Terran player. Once again UpMagic does not apply enough early game pressure to keep Jangbi from quickly advancing to Carriers. Jangbi gets to carriers without much resistance and begins to take out UpMagic's Command Centers. With a crippled income, UpMagic is hard pressed to fight back as Jangbi takes an economic advantage. Once again UpMagic disappoints by playing poorly while Jangbi capitalizes on his mistakes.
UpMagic was disappointing. He should have taken more aggression, considering the maps, and without doing so, let Jangbi easily take control of the games. Next Jangbi will have to face Kal. Kal is a solid player, though his PvP has not been particularly impressive, Jangbi's has solid play and a good teammate in Stork to learn from, as both of them are going into PvP matches in their respective Starleagues. I'll be looking for Jangbi to be pulling out the win in the Semifinals and making his first Starleague finals appearance.
