They are being a little strict, but I prefer that to letting calls go just to let the game flow. Games like these are to be expected for the 1st outing of the tournament. | ||

Real nice play from pretty much everyone today. Looking forward to the big games against Argentina, Spain and Brazil depending how the brackets turn up. Group B is pretty stacked though I have to admit. | ||

I'm honestly surprised at the comments from Europeans in this thread. We Americans keep getting bashed in the head by commentators and analysts about how FIBA basketball is much more physical than NBA basketball. The USA-France and Spain-China games today had a lot of ticky-tack fouls. And lol at the refs missing Ibaka's blatant travel. | ||

The Gasol tandem wasn't that effective this game. Spain made both their 2nd and 4th quarter runs with Ibaka on the court. | ||

The 2 gasol brothers have never been really great playing at the same time to me, somehow they lack some synergy because they play similar in many things.
