Awesome, did you post this in the livestream thread? I have NBC, but I don't have the stupid account info to watch online.

We Americans keep getting bashed in the head by commentators and analysts about how FIBA basketball is much more physical than NBA basketball. The USA-France and Spain-China games today had a lot of ticky-tack fouls. And lol at the refs missing Ibaka's blatant travel. Yeah, the commentators were talking about this (I believe they were american too) but out of all the games I've seen it's only providing evidence in the other direction. US has gotten so many fouls because they're not used to getting called on literally everything, and just watching the start of the 1st quarter in US vs. France says enough.

I don't have the channel they showed basketball on this morning because it was on an obscure NBC sports channel but I was able to watch it online. It was smooth. It needs a cable/satellite subscription, though. I guess it's better now, I tried watching NBC's stream the first day and it was completely unwatchable, buffering every 5 seconds. And from what I understand they withhold replays of events they plan on showing on tape delay until after they've aired everywhere, which is ridiculous. Also heard that there were huge memory leak issues, but I suppose that's been resolved by now if you guys have no complaints. I'd still prefer to watch BBC's coverage, but Beadle might tempt me to give NBC another shot...

But in the same time NBA use his power to prevent player from other nation to play for their country. (ie : Noah, that the bulls don't let play for France for "insurance purpose". with that they almost can remove all the best player in foreign team. WTF. USA basketball team is better than the other one, but using nba club to remove player from foreign team is just as bad as cheating. they really don't need that.

What are other examples of NBA teams not letting their players play? Edit: Yeah Noah is injured from the playoffs.

That particular problem doesn't happen during the Olympics but during every other Qualification event or European Championship.

I know the french team is missing 2 other players for other reasons than injury. Dallas didnt let Beaubois play and Mahinmi is negotiating a new deal with them atm, so couldnt come (aka they didnt let him come).
