Not that I would blame him or any other particular player for the loss. Pretty much everyone failed, their coach and analysts too.

Just against a really good team like FPX things can go south really quickly if you make 1 mistake. Pretty sad we did not get a more exciting final. G2 as a team played fairly well imo, their macro was strong and they knew what to do. It was poor execution and pretty terrible mistakes that tore their entire game plan apart, that's why I'm shitting on Mikyx here, he looked nervous. He wasn't alone, Perkz missed a few Varus ults and that was a dumb TP escape attempt in game 1, Jankos didn't apply the pressure he needed, Wunder had godlike laning on Ryze but got caught out too much. FPX made far fewer mistakes, and seemed to tighten their gameplay as the series went on, ending in game 3 where they played a bit more reserved and waited (rightly so) for G2 players to just trip themselves up.

The absolute dumbest play of the series had to go to Perkz, trying to tp with waaaaaay too little time, Jankos trying to protect/block and then getting himself kicked into Perkz. If they played just a tad cleaner this series, it could've gone to 5 games easily.

It's like in one of those soloq games where everyone rushes to the 'guy playing solo and looks out of position' only for them to be caught out instead. Unless Korea crashing and burning for the first time counts as interesting on it's own. In that case you're correct, but that still covers only groups and quarters.

Besides those two matches, the rest of 2018 matches weren't particularly interesting. Unless Korea crashing and burning for the first time counts as interesting on it's own. In that case you're correct, but that still covers only groups and quarters. Play In Groups: The INF vs EDG game was fucking spicy as hell. Good game and super hype Play In Playoffs: The INF vs G2 series that was literally Wunder dragging his garbage inting team to the main stage. The score was 3-1 for G2, but literally all 4 games INF trashed them until Wunder pulled rabbits out of his hat again and again on Urgot, easily one of the most 1v9 series I've seen in recent memory. Group Stage: The entire C9/VIT/RNG/Gen.G group was insanely fun to watch and better than any group this year except MAYBE group C. Playoffs: Three of the four quarter final matches were absolutely amazing. The FNC/EDG series was business as usual but all of the others were super fun to watch and better than any ro8 match of this year. Semis ended up being better this year, but theShy pop off on Aatrox vs G2 is still more fresh in my mind right now than anything that happened at worlds this year. Finals equally as stomp but this year I'm not as bias, as I'd been rooting for iG and Fnatic since the SC2 days for like a decade (and have been a fan of C9 since the C9 vs SSB series), so the semis/finals were pretty awesome in that regard.
