The rest of the groups this year weren't that great either. I think if C9 showed up group A would have been really interesting but they didn't. FPX bumbled about in a group that was much too easy and still almost fucked it up. Group D was watching the inevitable death of TL but nothing was particularly interesting about that one either. Like I already said last years quarters were insanely awesome (FNC vs EDG not included). Semis were better this year and were where the real tournament started for me. Idk, I think I had too high hopes for this year after the absolute banger that was worlds 2018

Just against a really good team like FPX things can go south really quickly if you make 1 mistake. Pretty sad we did not get a more exciting final. Nah, they did that badly. They basically repeated iG's midgame mistakes against FPX to a slightly lesser extent, while also being less lane competent than iG. TBH, I think one of the main takeaways of this worlds is that you need to just plan for max random. I thought Naut mid was an anti-iG only strat by FPX initially. Upon watching this series, what I think is that at the top levels, is you need to ensure your comp just always can fight even if you misread the fog of war. Unless you have a great set of wards, early on, you will lose a fight you should win. But those early wards will largely be luck. So just draft as if you will be unlucky in warding.
