I think you might find that one analyzing something the two are fairly closely tied together Not always the case, you could compare the best chess player atm at bullet ICC who is a prodigy at tactics and puzzles at 17 years old but lacks the strategy -yet- to be considered a strong GM at normal time chess to a veteran who is slow in calculating but has experience in every possible position. IG displayed amazing tactical skill and mechanics in battle but immaturity in decision making. A typical eu team is more or less the opposite.
Its important to note that the first is much more important because the start of the game doesnt involve much decision making, thus if you get crushed in lanes you will be unable to use your strategical sense.[/QUOTE] DONT TRY SO HARD TO BE A SMARTASS, YOU CANT CLOSE A GAME THAT YOU DID NOT OPEN I saw a lot of great amazing EU wisdom and decision making during that hour and a half Mill/Fnatic game earlier. Never have I seen such masters of Summoners Rift so deftly jab, weave and feint in an elegant waltz towards the end. Mill is the dead last team actually sux in decision making (ara in particular is well known retard and i hope you remember how kev1n threw the SK spot last summer). Fnatic (even though they are on a huge slump and cant coordinate at all -being 2-10 at the last 12 games says a lot-) actually played pretty smart under the circumstances. That being said, i was never a fan of playing sissy style and i was constantly bashing the passive-do-nothing style that lemondogs started. Also, i dont think that what we see is or can be indicative of a region's strength. 2 reasons for this: 1. Nerves on first game (i know from personal experience how hard you can choke on high stakes) However i didnt expect gambit to play so sh1t cuz they seemed immune to this in the past. 2. BO1 format doesnt offer much room for a team to get their sh1t together and comeback. To sum up all eu teams got crushed so hard in lane phase, that any talk about strategy and wisdom is ridiculous. In IG vs KTB however it was obvious to everyone that even though they were crushing in fights they went full NA baron throw twice. It was actually very amusing to see that they were fighting so good that 1 baron throw wasnt enough so they went baron again to seal the deal. Such strategy, much amazed. actually, come to think of it, it was more arrogance than lack of strategy.
this post seemed so smart and refreshingly different from the EU USA bullshit that i had to quote it. talking what went on in the game. mind blown.
