They botched a lot more than that. In either case there are always improvements to be made by every tournament but they all seem to have the ending ceremonies on that list.

yea, every single esports tournament I've ever watched have had pretty lacking ending ceremonies, including TI.

Now for a new chapter of LoL esports, season 4. Massive roster changes and a brand new amateur league, the scene is looking bright

Kinda funny how SKT1 had to leave the trophy there just so they can get that one last camera shot -_-

Mark of a true champ, always finding something to fix.

it was actually a bad translation. it was more about he was sad that his teammates didn't get the same recognition but happy he won the championship together.
i really hate this translator.

Ah that makes sense. Is that a translator that SKT brought or a Riot one?

Thanks for clarifying.

Kespa will never invest enough resources in Dota 2 to create teams that can challenge alliance/navi imo. They're too focused on league.

That's true. It will probably be more like what WC3 was to BW. Koreans were good in WC3, but not that dominant as a whole region, because it wasn't that impotant to the Korean public.

Korean WC3 could have been so much better if it wasn't for that map fixing bullshit MBC pulled

Undeniable. Yet they still had some Korean Powerhouses.

Wow, I've expected the post-series to be at least half the length of time spent for the pre-game but that ended really quickly.

Drawing my judgment based on these tournaments too. Hope Riot does it better S4.

Proleague has always done pretty well. They let the winner celebrate with their team before immediately jumping into interviews. After the interviews they let the team hold their trophy and play the hype music, then they air the montage at the end.

Even though this is slowly not becoming an excuse, esports is still young especially with this growing viewership. I would like to see things in about 5-10 years.

The BW legacy has officially been passed to LoL, I don't think any stablished korean team will invest in other game after this.

On a side note, I'm really glad this is the last time I have to listen to this fucking song -_-

The thing is korea doesn't have enough of a population to split between LoL and dota to remain dominant imo. Korea really wasn't that strong for a while in LoL, and the top chinese/european and TPA were considered better than them. It was only until this year where they got enough players to cherry pick strong talent that got them into this dominant position.

They can and will probably improve for S4.

For people complaining about stomps and format...

Look at NHL. You play a season of 82 games. Top 8 from each conference get into the playoffs

Some people complained that the earlier seasons shouldn't count as much... Well in Hockey, a team can have a great start but a shit end of season, and still secure a playoff spot.

Some people complained that the games were a stomp. I won't argue with this. Some are claiming that a loser bracket will prevent this. This is absolutely false (even if it's a good thing to have) One could say that getting into the finals, even in a flawed format, still require alot of work/luck/skill. Take hockey again, a team needs to win like 3x best of 7 to get in the finals. That doesn't prevent stomps from happening. It's not just about skills. It's also about preparations + mental.

End of rant... just mad at people who seem to bash Royal or tournament

It's not that surprising though that a double elimination format would show closer games. Royal definitely deserved top 4, but were they really the 2nd best team? Double elimination just sort of ensures that the 2 best teams are competing in the finals. It's not as hype though, but it kind of just gives a higher chance for more quality games.
