For League of Legends standards, how good is this production? I watched both TI3 and this championship. Honestly, the production value for LoL Worlds was better, but the actual games in TI3 were WAY better and far more hype making (for me) TI3 the better event to experience. I don't know if I'm completely unbiased, but last year I was bitching at Riot a lot for their really poor production and how TI2 blew them out of the water. However, I have to say this year it's hands down better for LoL than TI. There was just a lot more coverage and improvements overall. TI3 felt really rushed because you had only 3 weeks so it was just game after game after game with not much in between. The fact that someone who wasn't even part of the Dota scene was the highlight of TI3 says a lot imo. The final games were definitely much better though, but that has nothing to do with production. wait...what If you watched the girl they brought in to do interviews/coverage (Kaci) was basically the only thing people talked about it as far as production goes. TI2 > TI3 didn't have any marked improvements. Interviews with the players were severely lacking. LOL finals did have better ESPN-grade production value. It's pretty obvious from the setup, pre-game production etc. Personally though, I preferred the intimate, nerdy feeling of TI3 with the smaller venue. Unfortunately Valve hinted that they'll be moving to a stadium next year so TI4 might become another "sports-like" event. I hated the fact they stayed at benoroya this year as well. It's a really small venue for such an event. Imagine having the Na`vi - Alliance finals in Staples. How fucking nuts would that be?

This image again? The back story is that they were doing the super man pose, but it looked wrong when they did it. They also apologized afterwards.
SKT T1 did do a winning ceremony. It was on stream, but I don't think many people caught it.

People should stop comparing this game with SKT vs Sword. Matches between teams from the same region are so different and it doesn't necessarily transition. Maybe Royal would have stomped Sword, or maybe OMG/WE/iG would have done better against SKT. I'm not saying this is the case but it's possible, intra-regional match-ups have a completely different dynamic.

Still surprised to see Royal play that bad. I guess as they were being raised onto the stage they finally realized where they were and collectively shit themselves.
Oh well.

Very disappointing finals there. Semis were so much better. Wish we had a third place match, at least it had a lot of potential to be a good series.

Kespa will never invest enough resources in Dota 2 to create teams that can challenge alliance/navi imo. They're too focused on league.

That's true. It will probably be more like what WC3 was to BW. Koreans were good in WC3, but not that dominant as a whole region, because it wasn't that impotant to the Korean public.
