It's the same as any sport everywhere. The players are allowed to trash talk/swear as long as the audience doesn't get to hear it.
It's a bit different with video games since you have mics strapped onto the players and hear everything they say. Some competitions are looser with the profanities than others but the spirit of the rule is the same.
