I'd rather deal with Warmogs, honestly. I can use that item myself even if I don't play a bruiser and it's counterable by using Liandrys/BotRK/Bloodrazor (yes, Kitae's still exists). Horn is straight-up useless on anything that's not a bruiser and allows them to survive to six and then just dominate the game as much as they want. You're forced to buy boots 2 on your first death as an AD/AP carry, otherwise you're getting dived again and again and again cuz you can't get away and they take no damage at all.

I lost when my team was Kayle,Yorick,Tryn,Soraka,+1. I think the ARAM Gods said "Oh Hell No!!!!!!!!!". I never played so poorly with Kayle in my life. It was like I never even seen the champ let alone player with her.

My last match was nidalee, Nunu, Janna, Alistar, Lux
Vs my Khazix, Xin, Tryn, Warwick and Gragas.
I raged pretty hard (I got Udyr first and rerolled) and assumed we'd lose pretty hard
20 mins later we lost all our turrets and inhibitor and we still won. Tryndamere just went godlike and powned the hell out of everything.
Also every anivia player I've seen in arams always rapes their own team by missing every stun and walling team mates out lol

Very very much agreed. Chalice literally provides three times as much mana regen as Tear, gives you 25 MR to start (vital for surviving early poke), and builds directly into an incredibly good CDR/MR item. The only time I start Tear is when I play Ryze or one of the mana hungry AD pokers.
In other news, now that I've had a couple days to recover from surgery I'll get back to updating the guides.

Nothing serious, but while I'm recovering I'm supposed to take it easy. On that note, I'm not going to do a regular Mondays with Monte tonight, but instead I plan on just streaming ARAMs for most of the evening.

Man, rerolls have really made the avarage ARAM team massively better. Its a lot harder to do wierd builds and not just lose...game has changed man

Having only 700 range for harass isn't a huge issue because you have 550+ movespeed with which to dive in, bomb, and gtfo, not to mention all the cheeky things you can do with bombs. The only time his range is a problem is when the enemy team has a huge harass advantage, which isn't really a Zilean-specific issue.
Now factor in how absurdly frightening many initiators are when they also can move at 550 movement speed, and how easy it is to get caught when you can be permanently slowed by 55%.
Also, his ultimate is absolutely ridiculous in ARAMs. Get max CDR, have ult up every 40 seconds.

Zilean has a pretty large power gap though between like level 10-15ish where he doesn't really have enough points and CDR to be spamming bombs. He's definitely good though.

Rod of ages man! Incredibly cost-effective and works on like all ap's (except for those that actually rush grail in SR). Catalyst so gud too.

The active gives like 800g worth of basic AR/MR before the mini ghost is factored in. Horn is the best thing to happen to LoL. I use it so much I'm sad when I have to sell it for that 6th item slot.

Unless you're Cass or Karthus (maybe a few others I'm forgetting), 40% cdr is a priority as an AP in an ARAM. Also by the time your Rod of Ages is charged, the game is usually 5-10 minutes from ending. You lose out on so much mana regen if you don't get chalice/grail. You can get away with RoA on Gragas (for example), but that doesn't exactly mean it is good.

I had a Blitz Soraka Janna on my team.
We lost because Blitz only pulled Alistar, and even though I told Janna all she had to do was Q waves and we'd win, she couldn't even do that.

Played 3 games so far. Ashe, Janna, Janna. Best games of my life esp with Janna. I've never played her before ARAM and building athenes, archangels, deathcap and morellicon = spam that tornado all day and give allies a 600hp shield for them to dive is the best. No wonder she's in the highest rated tier lol.
I really had no idea how strong tornado and shield is when you build AP until yesterday.

I just played with a Yi who didn't understand his Q. Like, He just died constantly by going ham on an Udyr who would run backwards.
