See when Jayce, still ridiculously strong after his first batch of nerfs, stopped getting picked altogether because he wasn't wttf-broken anymore, same with Kha'Zix. It's not about being good or bad. I also didn't know about this morning's match-up when posting that, haven't seen the VoD either. The TP/Ignite Hecarim is clearly a soloQ thing though, been played a bit but without Flash or Ghost and with how much farm he requires it's hard to keep him alive early game.

I don't think they are connected, teams who want to experiment and find new champions play new experimental champions. Viktor and Hec are the new thing. I actually think they have poor synergy.

What about if you red trinket while the enemy has no vision then they walk into a position where they could see it while it's scanning?

I don't think it's a numbers or OP thing. It's more that his kit brings many things that are worthwhile. Very similar to Lissandra.

No. What about if you red trinket while the enemy has no vision then they walk into a position where they could see it while it's scanning? Good question. I don't think so. I think if the enemy uses red trinket in front of you, you can't see the particles outside of the pink eye above the champion's head. I could be wrong about that though.

Interesting question and I'm not sure if there is really a "simple" answer but I'll try my best. Let's look at champs that utilize trinity well. Ezreal and Corki for example: Trinity generally helps for early power spikes. It gives you a little bit of everything. Both Ezreal and Corki definitely need the mana and have abilities with adequate AP scalings. They benefit from the Phage's passive for chasing down targets and the sheen proc helps with quick trades of over just a few seconds. So: Abilities Stronger Mana Sheen proc works well for short trades Phage passive for chasing Vayne on the other hand gets a lot of her power from her W passive and Ultimate which favor more extended trades and getting as many attacks off as possible. She has no abilities that scale with AP and her kit is very auto attack focused and not ability focused (meaning her spells don't really do damage to other champs, her autos do). Although the sheen proc is nice for a quick Q you will probably lose the trade if you're going for short trades on Vayne because the other bot lane will just use their spells and win the trade and you've purchased wasted stats in the AP as well as mana considering Vayne's negligible mana costs. On top of all this the Phage's passive isn't really needed as you already have Vayne's chasing passive which is increased in her ult, making the Phage's passive kind of redundant. So all in all, it's better to spend your gold on attack speed and AD as those will benefit you the most for your money. Another thing to note is that Vayne isn't nearly as strong early as she is later in the game so spending money on an early power spike item like triforce that is very expensive and has stats you don't use is a fairly inefficient use of gold. I know this wasn't a simple answer and I apologize but I hope it helps ![]()

I don't love it as a follow-up to Cinderhulk because it doesn't synergize at all with the +25% health, but the damage-to-attacker could be a good synergy as GrandInquisitor pointed out. I dunno, I don't love it as a theorycraft but Trick2g's mileage may vary.

Also he doesn't get any HP if he follows up with Abyssal, which makes it worse.

I feel like there are certain items that have hugely negative stigmas attached to them (Banner of Command, Ohmwrecker, Thornmail), and so no one ever builds them even though they have been buffed either directly or indirectly. Banner is incredible against magic waveclear bullshit. See the game where the only non-magic waveclear that C9's opponent had was The Culling and Meteos just bodyblocked it while the bannered Baron cannon minion demolished their towers.

I dunno, I don't love it as a theorycraft but Trick2g's mileage may vary. trying to maximize the 25% bonus health passive is silly, i'm more into Frozen Heart than Thornmail, but one of the biggest weaknesses of an early FH/Thornmail is that your health pool is too low to make full use of the armor and getting a solid chunk of HP from Cinderhulk helps mitigate that a lot.
