Nope, exp is dependant on range (either you're in, or you aren't), exception is the jungle (half the exp to the killer, half to people within ~400 range of the monster, which is why melees gtfo before the jungler finishes a buff, so he can get full exp and thus level up).
Cant take LMS hipsters serious.

I'm new to the jungling role and I've been maining elise so far. I'm in Silver 5 currently (although I just hit 30 a few weeks ago and haven't had too much time to play since then). Anyways I had a voli steal my red buff this game and it made my life kind of miserable .

I'm wondering what junglers are the best at counterjungling at early levels, also hopefully some which bring other aspects than just counterjungling to their game as well.

I feel like elise shouldn't be too bad at early duels in the jungle since she has 2 forms, but voli got the jump on me with the bush last time so I couldn't fight him and had to flash away.

For early counterjungle basically anyone who is a good duelist is also a strong counterjungle threat. Then you have Nunu and Shaco which have tools to allow them to early counterjungle without dueling.

With Elise if you suspect any kind of counterjungle you can human W to reveal the bush without losing much clear speed. She is a strong duelist early, but only if you begin the fight in human form and can use your QWRWQ fully, so make sure to check the bush in human form before you start the buff, because if you get caught in spider its crap.
In Hungry Hungry Hippos there are no such constraints—one can constantly attempt to collect marbles with one’s hippo, limited only by one’s hippo-levering capabilities.

I don't know if this is really a simple question, but I'll try throw it out in the air anyway. It's regarding a certain skill mechanic.

I just had a game as Blitz vs a team with a Yi. We had a situation where just as my grab hit him his Alpha Strike started animation resulting in his jumping started at my position traversing a huge distance, far longer than the normal reach. Does anyone know if it's possible to use this mechanic with a Thresh lantern -- initiate on a close mob then lantern into their team?

Can you show us the replay, or give a few more details on what exactly happened? Did he q something, you grabbed him, and the animation carried him back to whatever he started his q on? I am not exactly sure what you mean.

Sorry, I don't got lolreplay. I will try to be more specific about what happend:

1) I am away from my team (and any other target).
2) I fire off a grab.
3) Just before it hits he Q's starting his animation.
4) He gets pulled to my position.
5) Then performs a gigantic jump from my position to his initial minion target.

Using lantern in your proposed idea, wouldn't Thresh be in the middle of the enemy team? I'm failing to see what advantage you would gain, but I don't know if you can click lantern and simultaneously cast Alpha Strike anyways. If it's like super long range Yi poke since the minion is far away is what you're looking for, you're still looking at Thresh in the middle of the other team and you very far away at the end of Alpha Strike. I could be missing something

I'm not sure about the practical usage, it'd just be a helluva cool play -- sacrifice Thresh to do a long distance Alpha Strike kill on a low HP carry for instance.

But he didn't do a long distance alpha strike in that situation. He did a usual range alpha strike, you pulled him and he flew back to his original target, which looked like long range (If i understand you correctly). So he effectively just negated your grab, nothing else changed in the gamestate.. Which also means that i don't really see a way to use this effectively, since you don't really gain anything. You could negate a thresh lantern, but why would you bother doing that?

I had a good game to demonstrate the problems i've been having knowing when to gank as a jungler (specifically Leesin, but really every jungle is hard for me to gank with), but lolreplay won't upload it or any other file, TT

speaking of thresh lantern, I'm under the impression that if you flash at the right time, you'll carry the person being pulled by the lantern futher. Is it possible to time grabbing the lantern so if thresh is teleporting/basing, he'll pull a partner with him?

You can try it, but there is usually a range limit to prevent that sort of interaction, that only comes into play for long range teleport actions

How does one even go about playing Karma mid now? I look at her kit and think shes some sort of kiting champ, or somebody close up in the action (because passive), but I'm not sure how to itemize her at all. Not sure if I should rush CDR (or Grail at least), start RoA, or go 2x Dorans into Deathcap or something.

I get that you're supposed to be flexible depending on your lane opponent and if winning/losing/even, but I'm so lost on how to play her now. I used to be pretty good with her and have a lot of fun, but not so much now...

It works very much like Nocturne ult/Maokai root in that any displacement cast before the pullee arrives will drag them further. In a pinch you can actually throw your lantern, land Thresh Q on a jungle camp, and pull someone an enormous distance.

Teleport should work with this, but the timing has to be extremely exact. You have to click immediately before Teleport finishes. If you click too soon you'll reach Thresh before he teleports, and if you click too late he'll have teleported already (taking the lantern with him).

CDR is the way to go. Athene's + Morello's gives you so much power it's insane. With her spells so strong (seriously her Q damage is NUTS), all you need to start is more consistency with your massive utility (Mantra). So yeah... CDR hard.

Isn't there usually a (large) limit to the range you can pull people with those things, though? I am pretty sure someone mentioned that there is something in place exactly to prevent that sort of thing from happening, where mao roots a guy and ends up in his fountain.

I personally would never do any start without a ward toplane, that is just way too annoying to play. And while i am not that good at jayce, i have tried to learn him recently, and i personally really like flask + 1red + ward atm. Though charm + 5+1+w might be nice too.
