I guess my point is "you won't enjoy the climb anyway if you spend all your games tryharding instead of goofing around just enough to keep it enjoyable for everyone". Smurfs weren't the biggest problem for me when it comes to losing. it was being lvl 6 and laning vs a lvl 30 plat player who duo queued with a lvl 4 account. i don't really care what you are doing, but if you are playing free week champs with a lvl 6 account you are probably screwed against a lvl 30 player with full rune/mastery pages, flash and ignite ect. Its rough. At least when i hit smurfs around lvl 18 it was much easier because we were all roughly the same level accounts so none of us had a mathematical advantage, and it became about skill between the players. a lvl 30 shouldn't ever lose to a lvl 6 player in lane. you have to be so drastically worse than the other player in order to even lose a trade. | ||

Yea, but if your in the jungle, that means they will facecheck you 100% the time (if that isn't what you want). I had a dblade, no smite, Garen, "jungler" on my team that executed himself 3x before 10:00. I just played annie with Mobi Boots and killed things all over the map. Its not that the 1 game itself wasn't goofy, its that it got me like 1/10 an EXP bar to the next level. I remember my leveling being...much much faster. | ||

IDK, I still don't get why a newbie would want to rush to 30 and buy any kind of xp boost. The only thing you get is ranked, mastery points, and slots for runes. Most people don't play ranked, mastery points aren't very exciting by themselves, and you'll hardly have IP for the runes you want anyways if you buy xp boosts (unless you pair them with IP boosts or champ purchases but I don't think those justify the xp boosts). People make a big deal out of levels but IMO the ginormous huge IP cost of the champion pool seems like a much bigger deal to me. Getting to level 30 takes a month but getting every champion if you started now would literally take years unless you did nothing else. | ||

Long ranting explanation of how i actually ended up in B5 D: + Show Spoiler + I did my placements after the great MMR "reset"/squish of end S2 / start S3 on completely 0 practice with 230 ping and got shot down into bronze (since my MMR was only ~mid silver before they did the MMR reset thing and i was suddenly supern00b) where i spent ages struggling with it and crawling back out. It didn't help that it wasn't just high ping but really really bad internet too. Eventually i learnt and got back to where i was before, then i moved home and it was all for nothing. Despite the ping, Bronze is actually ridiculously hard to carry yourself out of if you're only ~silver yourself, i also had a shitty mindset for a while that prevented me from improving because everyone else was a shitter and it was his fault and my lag sucked so much ass etc etc i wasn't helping myself but i was originally placed B4 and put into B5 just as fast. | ||

Shyvana's is... I dunno, the way they contrast the dark pink and red is weird. I preferred the previous splash. Ori is straight-up worse just because of the loss of clarity. The way they used the colours, and the dark background make it harder to what you're looking at. Vayne's is... wut? It's not like her original splash was too good but the pose and stuff on the new one is caricatural. The portrait is 0K I guess though. Lee's portrait feels less readable than the old one, or more weird, but quality-wise it's not that bad. Sure he's uglier but I don't mind some ugly champions too, apart from the ones intended to be comical (like Draven's outrageous mustache) or monsters, diversity's fine. o/ Qtpie's client has the featured games to spectate, on his stream. Mine has nothing because dev blog and community creations take up the space. How come. :< | ||

I remember where if you won your first PvP match at lvl 1 you'd jump to lvl 3 off the xp, now you can only play vs AI and it takes 5 games to get to 3. | ||
