AD and becomes super fucking tanky when his ult is on to sheen proc people to death really fast. W + sheen proc also hits really hard in lane.
Chauster did this with Ghostblade in season 1 to us in a normal game. He completely ignored us, walked at towers, ulted, ghostbladed, and autoattacked until he died. We couldn't stop him and he ended up winning the game for his team after taking 2 inhibs.

Also, he benefitted a lot from the new SotAG. Pick that up and then get an IBG and you're an absolute midgame monster esp. if you've neutered their magic damage. Your ult is like Fid/ Karthus, except you're so tanky the enemy team cant actually afford to focus you.
Saying that Morg + Ali counter him is kind of dumb because with that logic Morg + Ali counter pretty much everyone How does the new golem benefit him in the mid game?It gives less hp and no tenacity.
Morg/ali do counter almost everyone. That is why they are so popular.

Quill Coat actually helps him farm about as fast or even a tiny bit faster than Spirit Stone, because he scales with the 20 bonus armor it gives. I still don't think it's enough to push him into a position of a good jungler though.
'tis true that way back when jungle Rammus was good most of the winrate probably came from jungle Rammus, but nowadays (though I don't see Rammus often at all) when I do see him it's in top lane.

I got totally rolled by a mundo who had dual pen and scaling hp/%hp/flat hp everythings. He just rushed SotAG and it literally took us 30 seconds to 1v5 him.

Does loss prevented stop you from losing series matches?
EDIT: Also, fuck alistar. Makes hitting things with VIktor lazer impossible. I land it perfectly, Ali headbutts dude back in me and I miss.
-.-

just went 2-1 in ranked went w-l-w. both wins were loss prevented and loss was not a loss prevented. no lag or dcs in any either wtf.

I think Rammus is uniquely good for SotAG because he's one of the few champions that actually wants to stack health given all the free resistances on his W.

Also, at the risk of starting an undesirable discussion, can Teut or VA get at least dia3 please? This makes all the Nasus discussion taste of anticlimax.
i play way too much to track my elo like that lol, I was D3 a few day ago. now back to d5. hehehheh

So FYI,
Loss prevented doesn't prevent you from getting an X in a series.
-.-
Zzzz...
Thats dumb.

He's also one the very few champions who scale with literally anything the game has to offer. Like 100% cost efficiency on tri-force yo.

People like their full tanks top because tank junglers still not that hot competitively, and Alistar's ult achieves that from level 1 now. Add in mana costs buffs to make his laning better (more spam!) and now he can abuse Headbutt+Spellblade for trading (wouldn't work on everyone, for example prob wouldn't stop Renekton) and rely on his excellent base AD and HP pool (he was top 5, he's even better now that Jax and Nunu have been nerfed in that regard) to let him build Triforce first. Sure he doesn't have Irelia burst, but still, imagine an Alistar TPing with Triforce for a dragon fight, it's fucking scary. He doesn't scale as well defensively as Maokai or Mundo because his uptime is lower (meaning Mao better defensively) and as usual with burst-oriented builds it falls off past midgame (and E doesn't bring anything to his burst), but Triforce into ionan boots + FH makes him very tanky and pretty much neutralises your AD in the midgame.
Maokai and shit like Gragas and Mundo take over late game anyway (Shyvana would prob be there, but because the full tank has to peel for his AD more than be a damage threat himself, Shyana's lack of cc/lockdown is a deterrent).
How's Rammus top played?

Today I learned that about 75% the time, even if you're in front of Yasuo's windwall, or to the side, it blocks Malphite q. I realize there's a brief period where its directly in front of him, but I mean after it's gone past me I'll roll the q and it'll block it anyways. Wut.

Rammus top is just homeguard teleport with mobo boots into being a dick.

Something to do with how detection works in LoL I guess. So long as you cast windwall before the actual projectile connects you can block it?

You mean you aren't supposed to do that as jungle Rammouse?

I'm talking about after the windwall has hit its final resting place (or very close to). Like I can be in front of that with a direct path to Yasuo, and it will be blocked.
Here's two pictures of what I'm talking about:
+ Show Spoiler +Case 1: (Windwall has passed through me, q doesn't hit him.) ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/Spvj7tB.jpg) Case 2: ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/ZJSWTts.jpg)
It might have to do with where the game considers the projectile is launching from for the first case, the second case seems batshit insane to me and should never happen. And no, he's not anywhere near the wall and its at its resting point in the 2nd case.
