Updated TL LoL policy in regards to the use of "lomo"

In regards to theorycrafting and hyperbole, please have firsthand experience of the scenario before giving your input

You have to bare in mind this is the guy who will openly call everyone a retard / faggot / younameititsonthislist wherever ive seen him. Maybe he doesn't flame people for being bad exactly.

Maybe he's just equally angry at everyone for no reason ?

:D Im sorry teut. I actually don't care about this debate.

Warn him he typo'd lom...nothing, nothing at all.

But in general, the mindset of trying to improve is exactly what teut explains, its just near impossibru to always have that mindset.

I never get the difference between playing to improve and playing to win. Improving your own play is the number 1 factor in increasing your winrate imo, so why do people always say they are two completely different things?

Because when your only goal is to win and you're robbed of that goal your brains natural response is to lash out and find out who's responsible and takes the simplest answer which is whichever teammate you think played the worst and then that happening constantly leads to frustration

I'm not sure why it does that though
maybe its a evolutionary thing to lead you to find competent companions or some thing

Meh, it might just be my brain being weird but I don't have that response all that much. Might also be that I've played with too many ragers so I'm immune now?
I mean sure I'm annoyed if I have a 0/11/2 mid but I still made mistakes myself as well obviously.

its because you're not in the mindset that you're only focused winning being the end result

From what I understand, the problem is when you ONLY want to win and let frustration get into your head. And develop mindets like "I need to play hard carry champions and win my lane hard because it's the only way to win games with these idiots" or "I just want to farm this wave, I just want to get this turret, I just want to kill this champion" and otherwise tunnel vision. That's the problem for me anyway - I lose faith in my teammates, I tunnel-vision into simple ways of winning and ignore any feedback until I'm confident in my own abilities and that I understand how League works. Isn't this basically what tilting is?

I so wish that Leauge had a seniors division for people over 25 or something. I would hope it would be less toxic and less emo crap (early GG's and "i'm done" wussy bullshit). But even if it didn't I could just laugh at these adults freaking out over a video game and saying im done, which is basically, im taking my ball and going home because things aren't going perfect. So I would enjoy that.

I agree 100%. Few phrases make my blood boil like "im done". Maybe "stop feeding noob".

I think drophacking is getting a bit extreme when low level teambuilder games are being drophacked..... by low level i mean mostly 20's and two level 30's on there team.

I don't think it's that they don't help you win the game. They do help immensely, but those things are so situational and dependent on your core understanding of the game that most players who complain about these things are not in a position to assess how right or wrong their teammates are because they don't have that core understanding yet.

Many players treat "learning" item builds and jungle paths as if it's something you learn once and that's it. The only time that should ever be the mentality is if you're pre-30, and don't know all the items or are jungling for like the first time. If you have like 3k gold and are choosing your next major item, what item you choose is largely dependent on your understanding of how the next 10/15/20 minutes of the game will play out. That's not something that a Silver player can miraculously understand while being poor at every other aspect of the game, because that level of predictive assessment requires a very complex and high-level understanding of the game. Even up to the highest levels, players don't have a perfect assessment on what the game state is going to look like 15 minutes into the future. As such, your understanding of item selection is going to be evolving with the rest of your understanding of the game, and a low-level player on the whole understands so little that their assessment of items is for all intents and purposes meaningless.

I think another part of playing to win versus playing to improve is that when it is clear you are going to lose you don't just give up and derp around/rage. You still try to work on your cs mechanics, your teamfight positioning, your combos etc. Even just seeing what the winning team is building on their champs and analyzing how/why they are winning fights is a lot better than wasting your time thinking of how to best describe the sex you had with your feeding teammate's mom last night.

I have probably like 4 different builds tops for Evelynn and she's my most played champion
is there some great sea of depth I am missing

You're missing the great sea of depth of mindgaming. You have to go AD Evelyn, estimate in 15min the enemy will build AD tank then you sell your stuff and switch to AP, then after 15min sell your stuff again and swith to tank Eve.
